{"ops":[{"insert":"This deck morphed out of an old deck I created in standard format. It was an okay deck but was slow to get moving. It focused on Vaishno that “returned to your hand at the end of your turn” effect and Confusion in the Ranks. My kids are big into the commander format so I have been working on converting the concept and in the process it greatly improved.\n\nFirst off the commander Ognis pairs well with creatures that have haste. I can use the treasure tokens to bolster my mana or use a card like Kalain or Xorn to create synergies. This works well with Dash or the Viashinos in that I can keep generating treasure. I have a few creatures and enchantments that will also give all creature haste or at least when they come into play. This works well with my cards that can generate a lot of tokens which in turn makes more treasure. I added mayhem devil which turns sacrificing those tokens into direct damage.\n\nCards like Warstorm surge make the most use of my creatures coming into play. Either allowing me to directly damage creatures and players or playing off of my commander. This is where the synergies really start to ramp up. I have a category called creature ramp that put several creatures into play at once or allow me to do it repeatedly. Most of these are cheap cards that aren't considered powerful (except one) but would trigger the cards above for various fun options. They also have good synergy for the various buffs that trigger when a card comes into play. Deathleaper plays well off of these mechanics potentially doubling any effects that trigger as creatures come into play.\n\nI have equipment, creatures, and enchantments that give creatures a bonus as they come into play. For example, if I play a firecat blitz those 1/1 tokens become 3/3 or 5/4 (depending what things are on the table) and if I have a Warstorm Surge or Pandemonium out then I am assigning that 5 power to damage targets and getting to attack to boot! This is why I have a \"creature pump\" category as those cards are there to get small creatures into play that get these bonuses as they come into play.\n\nThe dragon category is more of a thematic choice though they all have different types of synergy as well. Other creatures types work but the lore of Viashino and dragons is tied together so I thought it made sense to pull those ones in. This is why I run Viaz, who becomes ramp for my higher powered creatures as well as gives them a second wind. \n\nI recently subbed some of my slower token generators with mass removal. Unless I get Kazuul into play, I tend to have a weak defense. Lavalache and Savage Twister can remove several threats at once. Burn the House Down can be used for the tokens or a board wipe. This along with my spot removal, decimate and hull breach, help deal with threats on the board. Enchantments like Warstorm Surge help to remove threats. I have helm of possession which I can sacrifice a token to in order to take something of my opponents. This is one of the advantages of the deck, lots of methods to respond to threats.\n\nI am modifying how this deck does ramp. Due to the curve I don’t really need a seething song and things like arcane signet become sort of obsolete as my ability to create treasure increases. Equipment like diamond pickaxe allows me to use my creatures to create treasure. Atalan Jackal and professional face-breaker allow my attacks to create ramp. Treasure map and professional face-breaker allow me to turn my treasure into card draw as well.\n\nI am adjusting how the deck creates card advantage. I added Ziatora’s Envoy and Mezzio Mugger who are Vashino with blitz and effects that let me play cards off my opponent’s decks. Samut turns my come into play attacking into card draw. Elemental Bond and Garruk’s Uprising turn my dash creatures into card draw. With my come into olay\nbuffs, my firecat blitz could also create plenty of card draw. These replaces spells as they synergize better with the deck.\n\nI have a few sacrificing options. These allow me to dump cheap tokens for different effects or buffs. It’s just a splash as the deck tries to hit hard and fast once it gets rolling.\n\nPresently the deck has speed but requires a little momentum to hit its stride. Once it does it builds speed extremely fast and can hit very hard. The tricks you have also give you a fair number of options for responding to threats. If you get Confusion in the Ranks in play you can cause a lot of chaos and typically cripple other decks. Heavy removal can be problematic if it prevents you from building momentum. With the weak defense it doesn’t make a good mastermind deck if you like that format.\n\nBefore using this deck - Know how the stack works. You play a spell and anything added to the stack gets resolved in reverse order. This means your Ronin Warclub will synergizes with Terror of the Peaks to turn those 1/1 tokens that just came into play into 3/2 before checking Terror of the Peaks’s trigger this results in all of the tokens being able to assign 3 damage as the club jumps from token to token. This works because Terror of the Peaks and Ronin Warclub trigger as each tokens come into play. This is more intuitive with cards like In the Web of War but also works for the equipment triggers.\n\nThis deck is chaotic and fun. It is very aggressive and has a lot of ways to respond to threats. Since it relies on blink creatures, so to speak, it generally has something it can do with its turn. The deck primarily uses. viashino, dragons, rare artifacts, and treasure. It also has humans, ogres, and a variety of monsters for extra flavor. It can pile up your dragon horde (treasure) for a slew of fun options.\n"}]}
