De kern is een toolbox van bruikbare creatures, verbonden door artifact-creature-tokens, ETB's, activated abilities en counters. Counters versterken creatures en kunnen worden omgezet in tokens en mana. Combat blijft een manier om te winnen, maar het deck wil daarnaast stelen, tappen, verstoren, kopiëren en terughalen.\nToken-soorten doen verschillende dingen. Creature-tokens helpen Beguiler en Mirror Entity, en kunnen met Dazzling Theater convoken. Artifact-tokens helpen Jaheira, Ich-Tekik en affinity. Artifact-creature-tokens verbinden beide kanten: Gnomes, Thopters en Brenards Food/Golem-copies. Mutagens en gewone Foods zijn geen creatures. Spawns en Spiders zijn normaal geen artifacts. Reed, Rosie, Belladonna en Junk Winder kunnen wel van beide groepen profiteren.\nMana en vroege start. Untappen verwijdert geen summoning sickness en geeft geen haste; Swiftfoot Boots blijft daarvoor de haste-bron. Room untapt geen noncreature artifacts zoals Idol en The Ooze. Mana uit andere beurten moet daar worden besteed. Dazzling Theater kan later voor 3W worden ontgrendeld en geeft uitsluitend creature spells convoke; beide deuren samen kosten zeven mana. Verse creatures mogen convoken, maar een creature dat voor zijn mana-ability is getapt kan niet ook nog dezelfde spell convoken. Convoke helpt Heart niet casten.\nArcbound Javelineer bezet het goedkope artifact/modular-testslot. Voor W krijg je een 1/2: basis 0/1 plus modular 1. Voor tappen en het verwijderen van X eigen +1/+1-counters doet hij X schade aan een aanvallende of blokkerende creature. Er is geen extra manakost, maar wel summoning sickness en de combatbeperking; hij schiet niet op spelers of op utility-creatures die buiten combat blijven. Rosie, Belladonna, Rishkar, Mutagens en modular van een ander artifact-creature kunnen munitie geven. Prop Room laat hem vaker untappen, maar maakt geen nieuwe counters. Brenards +2/+2 is geen counter en kan niet worden uitgegeven. Uitgegeven counters zijn later niet meer beschikbaar voor modular of The Ooze. Een nog te maken Brenard-copy is geen geldig doel wanneer de modulartrigger op de stack gaat. De nieuwe Javelineer-copy krijgt een nieuwe modularcounter en is met Brenard 4/4. Bij een volledige creaturewipe ontbreekt vaak een geldig modular-target. Arcbound Mouser staat daarnaast weer in main voor lifelink en modular.\nJacked Rabbit zet eigen power om in tokens zodra hij aanvalt. Voor twee mana met X=0 is hij een 1/2 die per aanval een Rabbit maakt; voor vier mana met X=2 een 3/4 die er drie maakt. De Ravenous-draw vraagt X van minstens vijf, dus zeven mana bij normaal casten, en is geen vroege draw-engine. Extra counters vergroten volgende aanvallen. De gemaakte Rabbits zijn gewone 1/1 creature-tokens: geen artifacts of Foods en niet aanvallend. Ze helpen wel Beguiler, Belladonna, Reed, Junk Winder, Mirror Entity en convoke. Reed krijgt bij een hele batch slechts een trigger. Een Brenard-copy krijgt geen X-counters maar heeft met Brenard drie power en maakt dus drie Rabbits per aanval. De eerste aanval vraagt een beurt wachten of haste.\nDraw. Mister Fantastic, Reed Richards trekt optioneel één kaart per afzonderlijke gebeurtenis waarin één of meer eigen tokens binnenkomen, zonder once-per-turn-limiet. Drie tokens tegelijk geven één trigger. Belladonna telt iedere token apart: eerste resolution die beurt leven, tweede een kaart, derde een +1/+1-counter op iedere eigen creature; daarna niets die beurt. Losheel trekt gratis bij het binnenkomen van één of meer eigen artifact-creatures, maximaal eenmaal per beurt, en voorkomt combat damage aan aanvallende eigen artifact-creatures. Dat maakt aanvallen met artifact-creatures veiliger. Mutagens en gewone Foods triggeren Losheel niet.\nIdol of Oblivion trekt voor alleen tappen, zonder extra mana, als je die beurt een token hebt gemaakt. Het kan meteen werken op de beurt dat je het speelt; een noncreature artifact heeft geen last van summoning sickness. Wel blijft het normaal één activatie tussen eigen untap steps. De tweede ability van acht mana voor een 10/10 is een late optie. Tocasia's Welcome, Mulldrifter, Thought Monitor, Lonis, Loran, Aether Channeler, Disorder en Evolutionary Leap vullen de kaartstroom aan. Clues kosten twee mana. De categorie Draw bevat ook eenmalige effecten en kaartselectie; het aantal kaarten in die categorie is geen telling van evenveel herhaalbare engines.\nTokens en copies. April kost vier mana en heeft geen eigen ETB-opbrengst. Zij is geen zelfstandige draw- of rampkaart. April maakt een Mutagen wanneer een speler een artifact, instant of sorcery cast. Dat kan de engine tijdens tegenstandersbeurten voeden zonder extra mana voor het maken van de token. Een Mutagen kan later voor één mana, tappen en sacrifice een +1/+1-counter geven, alleen als sorcery; met Jaheira kan hij ook voor groen tappen. Oltec maakt bij een eigen creature spell een Gnome of kopieert een eigen artifact-token. Blink is geen cast.\nThe Ooze kost twee mana en maakt voor alleen tappen een Mutagen terwijl hij een kaart uit een graveyard exilet. Er moet een legaal graveyardtarget zijn; bij lege graveyards kun je deze ability niet activeren. Als dat enige target vóór resolution illegaal wordt, krijg je ook geen Mutagen. Als noncreature artifact kan The Ooze meteen tappen en ook tijdens tegenstandersbeurten werken. Idol en The Ooze hebben in de huidige main geen afzonderlijke herhaalbare untapper. Stridehangar voegt aan iedere batch artifact-tokens één Thopter toe: één Mutagen plus één Thopter zijn twee token-enters voor Belladonna, Rosie en Junk Winder, maar één gezamenlijke gebeurtenis voor Reed.\nThe Ooze maakt daarnaast een Mutagen per +1/+1-counter op iedere eigen creature die het battlefield verlaat. Dat werkt ook bij creature-tokens, blink, bounce en exile; phase out is geen battlefield verlaten. Het telt alleen +1/+1-counters, geen nest- of oil-counters. Zo kunnen counters bij een wipe of een offer nieuw artifact-materiaal opleveren. Met Big Mother Mouser krijg je bij zijn dood zowel Robots uit zijn eigen ability als Mutagens van The Ooze. Mutagens kosten één mana om als sorcery een counter te plaatsen: dat kan Druid versnellen, Broodscale een Spawn laten maken of Hangarbacks latere Thopter-opbrengst verhogen. Oltec, Sundering Growth en Rootborn Defenses blijven manieren om creature-tokens te kopiëren. Flickering Hound en Disorder herhalen ETB’s van originele creatures. Een creature-token blinken verliest die token; een owner-control-blink van een gestolen origineel geeft hem terug aan de eigenaar.\nTheft en herhaalde activaties. Beguiler kijkt naar het aantal eigen creatures, niet naar zijn eigen power. Tokens vergroten dus zijn bereik. Zijn theft blijft bestaan als hij later het veld verlaat. Prop Room laat actieve creatures iedere tegenstandersbeurt opnieuw werken, waaronder Beguiler, Loran en Lonis. Zonder haste blijft summoning sickness gelden. Marvin en Derevi staan nu in maybeboard: daarmee vervallen de extra ability-copy en Derevis losse taps en untaps, waaronder extra activaties van Idol en The Ooze. Deze test kiest in die slots voor goedkope artifact/counter-synergie met combat-interactie en voor zelfstandige tokenproductie.\nAndere theft-lijnen blijven Volatile Stormdrake, Shifting Grift en Lonis. Een gestolen creature heeft bij jou summoning sickness. Een weggegeven Stormdrake kun je niet met eigen you-control-blink targeten. Bij een te dure gestolen nontoken creature die je moet opofferen kan Brenard een Food/Golem-copy maken, mits de kaart in de graveyard blijft. Bij een opposing commander kan de eigenaar hem eerst naar de command zone verplaatsen.\nCounters als gereedschap. Rosie, Belladonna, Rishkar en Mutagens kunnen counters plaatsen. Broodscale maakt bij ieder event van één of meer +1/+1-counters optioneel één Spawn; meerdere counters tegelijk geven geen extra Spawns. Hangarback Walker kost XX: twee mana geeft één counter, vier mana twee counters. Voor één mana en tappen kan hij zichzelf een counter geven. Bij zijn dood maakt hij één vliegende artifact Thopter per +1/+1-counter die hij had. Die tokens komen na een destroy-wipe binnen. Met The Ooze kunnen er daarnaast Mutagens ontstaan. Dit helpt na sterven, niet na exile. Een Brenard-copy erft de oude counters niet en is niet gecast, dus krijgt geen X-counters; door Brenards kopie-effect is zijn basis 1/1.\nGinger, Queen of Sweets is een bewust duur waarde- en eindspelstuk van zes mana. Haar ETB maakt je monarch, wat op je eigen end step een kaart oplevert. Zolang Ginger ligt en je monarch bent, maakt zij aan het begin van iedere upkeep een Gingerbrute: een 1/1 Food Golem artifact-creature met haste en een betaalde ability om moeilijk blokbaar te worden. De eerste token komt pas op een volgende upkeep. Bij vier spelers zijn maximaal vier tokens per volledige ronde mogelijk, maar monarch verliezen onderbreekt de productie. De tokens kunnen Losheel, Reed en Tocasia per beurt voeden en zijn Golems voor Ich-Tekik. Met Brenard is Ginger zelf 8/6 met trample omdat zij een Food is, en zijn de Gingerbrutes 3/3 met trample en haste. Hound kan haar oorspronkelijke kaart blinken om monarch terug te krijgen. Monarch blijft bestaan als Ginger later verdwijnt.\nArcbound Mouser vervangt Dromoka's Command. Voor W krijg je een artifact-creature met lifelink en modular 1, normaal een 1/1. Extra counters vergroten zijn lifelink en kunnen bij sterven via modular op een bestaand artifact-creature terechtkomen, zoals Javelineer, Hangarback, Big Mother Mouser of Twitching Doll. De nog te maken Brenard-copy kan geen modular-target zijn wanneer de deathtrigger op de stack gaat. The Ooze kan tegelijk Mutagens opleveren voor de counters waarmee Mouser vertrok. De nieuwe Brenard-copy krijgt een nieuwe modularcounter en is met Brenard 4/4 met lifelink en trample. Beide kleine modular-creatures worden getest voor verschillende functies: levenswinst en combat-interactie. De ruil kost Commands flexibele fight, enchantment-sacrifice en damagepreventie; de overige removal en bescherming blijven.\nDe rest van de toolbox. Swords en Gift leveren removal. Loran en Sundering Growth beantwoorden artifacts/enchantments; Growth kan ook populate gebruiken. Torque maakt een nonland permanent tot artifact voor Loran of Grift. Junk Winder tapt en bevriest een opposing nonland permanent per eigen token-enter. Profaner bouncet alleen opposing creatures met strikt lagere toughness dan zijn offer. Arcane Denial en Negate blijven antwoorden op spells. Overcharged Amalgam staat nu in maybeboard; de main heeft daardoor geen apart antwoord dat activated of triggered abilities countert.\nWipes en afmaken. Guardian, Selfless Spirit, Rootborn Defenses, Disorder en countermagic helpen je bord beschermen. Losheel voorkomt alleen combat damage aan aanvallende artifact-creatures, geen wipe of fight damage. Brenard geeft andere eigen nontoken creatures die sterven optioneel een tweede leven als Food/Golem; hij triggert ook voor anderen die tegelijk met hem sterven, niet voor zichzelf. Copies behouden de mana value en erven geen oude counters. Hangarback laat na zijn dood vliegende bodies achter; Ginger kan met monarch-draw en nieuwe tokens de hand en het bord aanvullen. Sun Titan voegt gerichte permanentrecursie toe. Mirror Entity, Big Mother Mouser en Ich-Tekik leveren druk; Gonti’s Aether Heart kan een ontwikkeld bord een extra beurt geven om af te maken. Heart is geen zelfstandige winconditie. Entity kan alle eigen creatures Golems maken voor Brenards +2/+2 en trample. Ich-Tekik groeit bij artifacts naar graveyards en versterkt eigen Golems. Gnomes, Robots en Thopters zijn geen Golems; Gingerbrutes en Brenards Food/Golem-copies wel. Big Mother Mouser zet opgebouwde counters bij zijn dood om in Robots. Combat blijft belangrijk, maar is niet meer de enige bestemming voor counters en tokens.\nRosie plus Broodscale kan na een eerste counter of token willekeurig veel Spawns, counters op Broodscale en kleurloze mana opleveren. Deze eenvoudige infinite is bewust toegestaan, zonder extra tutors als bouwdoel. Reed kan daarbij optioneel kaarten trekken en Junk Winder opposing nonland permanents vastzetten. Archidekt schat het deck daarom op Optimized (4); dat label is geen gemeten snelheid of winpercentage.\nActuele testkeuzes. Arcbound Javelineer en Arcbound Mouser staan beide in main; Mouser vervangt nu Dromoka's Command, dat in maybeboard staat. Marvin en Derevi blijven in maybeboard en Jacked Rabbit blijft in main. Simic Ascendancy staat niet in de lijst. Ramp en draw zijn bij deze ruil intact gebleven. De kaarten uit de eigen map vragen geen nieuw aanschafbudget. Flickering Hound, Profaner of the Dead, Faerie Artisans, Losheel, Ginger en Hangarback blijven bewust in main. Gonti’s Aether Heart vervangt Throne of the God-Pharaoh als bijzondere payoff; Sun Titan vervangt Overcharged Amalgam voor recursion; Dazzling Theater / Prop Room vervangt Sting voor collectief untappen. Throne, Amalgam en Sting staan in maybeboard, net als Evolution Witness en Crystalline Crawler. De ruil kost herhaald life loss, een ability-counter en een haste-bron. Swiftfoot Boots blijft. De dertien vroege rampkaarten en 37 landen blijven intact; met Ginger, Heart en Titan bevat de main nu drie kaarten met mana value zes. De goedkope aanloop blijft belangrijk en verdere dure toevoegingen vragen opnieuw een afweging. Sicarian Infiltrator is afgewezen vanwege prijs en Nick Valentine vanwege tempo. De som van rolcategorieën mag niet als onafhankelijke kaarttelling worden gelezen.\nGonti’s Aether Heart kost zes mana. Het eigen binnenkomen geeft twee energie en ieder volgend eigen artifact dat binnenkomt nog twee, ook artifact-tokens. Vanaf nul energie zijn na Heart nog drie artifact-enters nodig om acht energie te bereiken. April maakt haar Mutagen al door het casten van Heart: die komt vóór Heart binnen en telt nog niet voor diens energie. Voor acht energie en Heart exilen neem je een extra beurt; het is een eenmalige optie en onze creatureblink/Brenard-lijnen hergebruiken het geëxilede Heart niet. De energievoorraad kan ook worden gebruikt voor Volatile Stormdrake, zodat een grotere gestolen creature behouden kan blijven. Bestaande artifacts leveren niet met terugwerkende kracht energie op.\nSun Titan kost 4WW en is een 6/6 met vigilance. Bij ETB en iedere aanval kan hij één permanente kaart met mana value maximaal drie uit je graveyard direct naar het veld terugbrengen. Denk aan Idol, The Ooze, Loran, Oltec, Selfless Spirit, mana-artifacts en landen. Dat geeft echte recovery zonder Brenard en kan worden herhaald met Hound of na Sun Titans dood als Brenard een Food/Golem-copy maakt. Door Brenard geëxilede originals en verdwenen tokens zijn geen beschikbare graveyardkaarten. Een teruggebrachte Hangarback krijgt geen X-counters en sterft normaal direct. Room heeft in de graveyard mana value zeven, dus Titan kan Dazzling Theater / Prop Room niet terugbrengen. Heart en Ginger kosten zes en zijn ook geen Titan-targets.\nRichting bewaken. Counters en tokens zijn middelen voor de toolbox. De nieuwe keuzes leveren verschillende bestemmingen: Javelineer geeft combat-interactie, Hangarback en Big Mother Mouser geven bodies na dood, Rabbit maakt bodies bij aanvallen, The Ooze bewaart counterwaarde als Mutagens, Ginger geeft monarchdraw en tokens, Heart geeft een bijzondere extra-beurtoptie, Titan geeft herstel en Prop Room herhaalt bestaande activaties. Dit zijn geen extra vroege ramp- of drawbronnen: daarvoor blijven de bestaande kaarten nodig. Rabbit is het meest gericht op combat en gewone creature-tokens, en telt niet als artifact-tokenmaker. De goedkope modulaire creatures delen hun artifact/counterbasis, maar worden nu samen getest voor lifelink en combat-interactie. Geen extra counterversterkers toevoegen zonder een concrete nieuwe functie. Met drie kaarten van zes mana blijft de dure kant een aandachtspunt voor de playtest.\nMaybeboard biedt verdere variatie. Daring Thief ruilt bijvoorbeeld een token permanent om voor een opposing permanent met hetzelfde kaarttype; de ruil blijft bestaan, maar hij moet eerst getapt en daarna untapped raken. Soulherder kan originele ETB-creatures iedere eigen end step herhalen. Triskelion, Walking Ballista en Simic Manipulator zijn nieuwe testopties: counters worden respectievelijk ping damage, ping damage of permanente theft. Deze effects triggeren niet automatisch bij het plaatsen van counters; je besteedt de counters met hun abilities. Triskelion is goedkoop in euro's maar kost zes mana; Ballista heeft een lagere flexibele instap maar is duurder in euro's. Manipulator vraagt eigen counters en een tap-activatie. Ze staan nog niet in main; eerst worden de huidige keuzes getest. Academy Manufactor blijft buiten main omdat zijn replacement Brenards bedoelde Food-creature vervangt door gewone Food, Clue en Treasure. De getoonde deckprijs telt ook eigen kaarten mee en is geen aanschafbegroting. Er zijn geen echte vierpersoonspotten gesimuleerd; snelheid, herstel na wipes en afronden blijven playtestpunten.\n"}]}
