Description
{"ops":[{"insert":"Variable Yield\n\nRosheen turns X-spells in my hand into two colorless mana each. I reveal the cards; I do not discard them. That mana can pay only costs containing X, so it is not a general-purpose ritual. Her entry mills six and can put one X-card from those into my hand, which helps start the engine while stocking the graveyard for recovery.\n\nI want land development, Rosheen, and more than one X-card to reveal. Birds, Llanowar Elves, Delighted Halfling, the land-ramp spells, and the rocks provide colored mana that Rosheen cannot substitute for. An opening hand with four expensive X-spells and no way to cast the commander is still a poor hand. Unbound Flourishing rewards the plan by doubling X for permanent spells and copying relevant instant, sorcery, or activated effects under its wording.\n\nMagewright's Stone, Thousand-Year Elixir, Quirion Ranger, Quest for Renewal, and Seedborn Muse let me reuse the commander. Elixir permits the tap ability as though Rosheen had haste; it does not permit an immediate attack. Horizon Stone preserves unspent mana by changing it to colorless, retaining its spending restrictions. Doubling Cube works differently: the additional mana it produces does not inherit Rosheen's restriction. I still pay Cube's activation cost before it counts the remaining pool.\n\nAwaken the Woods converts X into Forest Dryad tokens that are both creatures and lands. It provides future mana and a board, but those new creatures cannot ordinarily tap for mana immediately without haste. Pest Infestation supplies interaction and Pest tokens. Ajani's Anguish gives another scalable answer. The Hydras and X-creatures supply pressure, cards, or mana rather than being interchangeable large numbers.\n\nUp the Beanstalk, Sylvan Library, Lifeblood Hydra, Return of the Wildspeaker, and the draw package keep X-cards in hand to reveal. Regrowth, Bala Ged Recovery, Shigeki, Reap the Past, and Wildest Dreams recover used resources. I do not reveal every X-card and then spend all of them unless the turn actually ends the game.\n\nCrackle with Power, Comet Storm, Jaya's Immolating Inferno, Tempt with Vengeance, and a large Finale of Devastation provide different finishes. Each has its own colored costs, targeting rules, and payoff thresholds. Rosheen's mana can pay generic portions of a cost containing X, but I still need the right colors.\n\nThe weak point is dependence on a tap creature and a hand of qualifying cards. Protection and ordinary ramp make that less brittle. The deck should build a useful position before it tries to announce the largest X at the table.\n\n"}]}
