{"ops":[{"insert":"I'm starting to come around to the budget decks. That's what this is.\n\n9/16/26 EDIT - We ended up buying some of these cards and a couple others. It's a little more money but it's hard sometimes to just buy cards hoping the deck will be good enough when you can spend a little more time and money wisely up front and get a better experience. Once the 100 are assembled, I'll come back and update this deck list to reflect the changes.\n\nYou can make a very expensive Voltron Bilbo, you can also make a print your own adventure Bilbo. I know there is starting to be more pushback on proxy decks and no one has enough money for tons of cards so I might pivot to budget builds for awhile. If your pod allows proxies then I highly recommend it because you'll get the chance to use cards you never could otherwise and take a deck to the limit of what it can do. Otherwise Manapool is great if you have the patience to wait a week or two. You can get a lot of things cheap that way. You can also scavenger hunt at your LGS. I bought a land pack for $10 at our local store to steal the islands for this one. It is doable.\n\nSo the idea here is to exploit Bilbo's unblockable skill. You want to bulk him up, double your counters, add double strike, get the best gear you can afford or find. You don't want to add shroud though because there are a decent number of equipments and enchantments that are cheap because they require player damage. I put in some defense gear, some to token producers for chump blockers. I'd recommend some creatures that work well in an artifact deck - I added a couple here. For lands you can do 36 islands if needed but I included some utility lands for inspiration. Monoblue is hard but you can get a lot of interaction and card draw out of it. If you can trade for better cards, that might be a fun way to do it as well. The goal is to have a low, cheap floor with this deck and then put the ceiling as high as you can. This can be a deck you assemble in parts or all at once. You can also swap things in and out pretty freely so it's a great deck to have evolve over time.\n\nGood luck! Have fun!\n\n"}]}
