Description
{"ops":[{"insert":"Simple burn deck. Get in quick and get them down fast. Low to the ground, but hopefully just enough card advantage that it stays somewhat resilient in the midgame, especially when most of the burn spells double as creature removal. You definitely want to be the beatdown, but hitting face is optimal slightly less often than most red players would like to believe, since killing creatures gets your own through.\n\nPoints spread: Mox Ruby, Mana Vault, Sol Ring, Underworld Breach\nOne of few decks where we get to play \"fair\" breach, because when you get flooded and run out of gas, casting three bolts from your graveyard usually gets you there.\nNot sure how correct the colorless fast mana is because the deck is so heavy in red, but casting things earlier is always good for aggro and I don't know of anything better to spent the points on.\n\nThe backbone of the deck is a critical mass of 1 mana creatures with 2 power, the ability to pump themselves, and/or haste, and a suite of efficient burn spells (rounded out with some less efficient ones too.) Ragavan, Monastery Swiftspear, and Goblin Guide are some of the best in class, but anything that repeatedly does 2 damage regardless of boardstate is usually the most effective thing to be doing. Grim Lavamancer, Sulfuric Vortex, Eidolon of the Great Revel, Guttersnipe, and even Cemetery Gatekeeper can often win games by tightening the clock you have on your opponent significantly. Another package worth mentioning is the free spells. Fireblast, Stoke the Flames, Flare of Duplication and Downhill Charge allow you to have more damage than an opponent would probably predict you to be threatening based on how much mana you have up. \n"}]}
