{"ops":[{"insert":"Disclaimer: This commander sucks, and this deck was made for my very casual pod. If want to win, replace Cynette with Sai.\n\nSo, why Cynette? \nShe looks like Hatsune Miku, and I thought that was pretty funny, so I made a deck around her, because I like Miku.\n\nEven if you decide to replace the commander, the main objective should still be the same: create a bunch of flying creature, juice them, kill everyone.\n\n--//--\n\nHere are some details about specific cards:\n\nCreatures: \n• Sharding Sphinx: this is probably the best card you can have on the battlefield. Every time any individual thopter deals damage, you create another one. So you can pretty much just mindlessly attack with all your thopters, since you'll create more to defend.\n\n• Stridehanger Automaton: if you have this guy and the sphinx on the battlefield, if they stay on the battlefield, you can be pretty confident that you're gonna win, because it doubles the amount of thopters you create with Sharding Sphinx (reminder: each artifact creature that deals combat damage to an opponent is a different trigger for sphinx).\n\n• Kappa Cannoneer: he is really good if you're creating lots of thopters, but your opponents have blockers or something like Crawlspace or Ghostly Prison and similar. \n\n• Uthros Psyonicist: never cast him as second spell, unless you have nohing else to play. Always cast him first, to get the cost reduction, or after your second spell, to set up for your next turn. When you have him on the field, look to cast your 1 mana spells first, to really squeeze that value.\n\n• Oneirophage: he's here mostly to be scary and give your opponents something to worry about. But you do draw a lot of cards, so if it's left unanswered, it makes for a pretty good blocker, or a finisher.\n\n• Jalira, Master Polymorphist: if you have Scroll Rack, you can use it to put an expensive creature, like Sharding Sphinx or Research Thief, on the top of your library, and put it onto the battlefield for cheaper by sacrificing a Jellyfish or a Thopter, with the added bonus of sending unwanted cards you put on top of that creature to the bottom of your library. You can also use her to gamble.\n\n\n\nArtifacts:\n• Patchwork Banner / White Lotus Tile: you should only choose Jellyfish if you're really desperate, or if you're copying Cynette a lot. Otherwise, choose Thopter.\n\n• Replicating Ring: great if you can cast it early game. Opponents will be scrambling to use their removal on it, giving you more opportunityies to cast your other stuff. Combos very well with Kappa Cannoneer and Moonlit Meditation if you can get it to pop.\n\n• Scroll Rack: it's especially good late game, when you have 40 cards in hand. It allows you to dig your library for a specific card. Can be used early game with Preordain, Stock Up or Ponder to send cards you don't want to the bottom of your library.\n\n\n\nCopy Spells: \n• Helm of the Host: this is meant for Cynette. Your flyers get +1/+1 every turn, and you create a Jellyfish, which is not actually very useful outside of being sacrificed to Jalira. But testing showed me that she's one of the worst targets for this. You should be cloning your other token generators and creatures with ETBs. The best targets for this equipment are Aspiring Aeronaut, Experimental Aviator, and of course, Sharding Sphinx. But if you're looking to draw cards, you can equip this on Curiosity Crafter or Research Thief. Kappa Cannoneer is also valid if it's your main win condition, just make sure you can create lots of thopters.\n\n• Echocasting Symposium: you can copy Cynette if you want two Jellifish tokens. Otherwise, you should be copying the same creatures you would with Helm of the Host.\n\n• Extravagant Replication: this one is special, because it can copy any nonland permanent, so you should be very wise with it. If you have Gravitational Shift and your opponents don't have many flyers, you should copy that every time, no exception. Even your Jellyfish tokens will become useful.\n\n• Moonlit Meditation: for this to be actually useful, you need Stridehangar Automaton on the field or Experimental Aviator in your hand. Either way, this is the one copy spell which I really think that Cynette is one of the best targets for it. Be mindful or your other copy spells, though. If you have Extravagant Replication on the field, this might as well do nothing, since you'll just be replacing a copy for another. \n"}]}
