Every body on the battlefield has to come from somewhere else. Job Select Equipment arrives with 1/1 Heroes, For Mirrodin! Equipment brings 2/2 Rebels, Living Weapon creates Germs, Vehicles such as Esika's Chariot and Magitek Armor bring their own crews, and cards like Staff of the Storyteller, Assemble the Legion, Felidar Retreat, Wedding Announcement, and Saheeli, Sublime Artificer keep creating creatures without ever putting a creature card in the 99.\n\nInfinite Guideline Station is the perfect commander for the gimmick because it isn't even a creature until we make it one. When it enters, it creates a tapped 2/2 Robot for each multicolored permanent we control, and all of the miscellaneous tokens the deck has been creating can then tap to Station it. Once it reaches twelve charge counters, the Station finally becomes a flying artifact creature, and attacking with it draws a card for each multicolored permanent we control. The deck that refuses to play creature cards eventually turns its own commander into one anyway.\n\nA huge part of the engine comes from Equipment that supplies its own wearer. The Final Fantasy Job Select cards create a Hero and immediately equip it, giving the deck Wizards, Knights, Ninjas, Samurai, Rogues, and other useful little attackers without ever casting a creature spell. The For Mirrodin! package does the same with Rebels, while Nettlecyst and Flayer Husk use Living Weapon to arrive already attached to Germs. Because the Equipment survives even if its original token doesn't, the next token that comes along can simply pick up the abandoned gear. Machinist's Arsenal can turn one of those little bodies into a major threat as the artifact count grows, while Hexplate Wallbreaker can give the entire army an additional combat.\n\nThe enchantment package makes the creature-free gimmick snowball. Efficient Construction and Mirrodin Besieged turn artifact casts into additional Thopters or Myr, Thopter Spy Network supplies a steady stream of evasive bodies, Rabble Rousing rewards attacking by making even more tokens, and Felidar Retreat can either add creatures or grow the army that's already there. Whirlwind of Thought takes advantage of the restriction from the opposite direction: since essentially every spell in the deck is noncreature, it can keep the cards flowing just for playing Magic normally. Tocasia's Welcome, Bident of Thassa, Reconnaissance Mission, Staff of the Storyteller, and the Station itself provide additional ways to refill the hand once all those tokens start appearing and attacking.\n\nThe gameplan is to ramp and fix five colors early, then start playing permanents that conveniently bring creatures with them. Those tokens crew Vehicles, wear Equipment, attack for cards, and eventually provide the power needed to bring Infinite Guideline Station online. Hour of Reckoning is especially fitting because it destroys nontoken creatures while leaving virtually our entire army untouched, and Rootborn Defenses can both protect the token board and add another copy of one of its better creatures.\n\nOnce the battlefield gets wide enough, the joke turns into a real combat plan. Maskwood Nexus makes the assorted Heroes, Rebels, Germs, Thopters, Myr, Cats, Soldiers, Citizens, Robots, and everything else share every creature type, which makes Shared Animosity much more dangerous than it initially appears. Roar of Resistance gives tokens haste and can pump attacking creatures, Kemba's Banner scales with the size of the army, and Overwhelming Stampede can turn one large equipped creature into a boost for the entire board. Goldwardens' Gambit can also create five hasty Rebels and immediately redistribute Equipment among them for a surprise attack.\n\nThere isn't a single creature card in the deck.
