The bidding system with the commander allows for the other players to evaluate the value of the cards available not just for themselves but to also prevent others from getting what they need. That keeps me in the game and they benefit from keeping me in. The goal while this is happening is too also benefit off the highest bidder. Copy spells and return spells are the safety system for the deck. They get it for free and you get a copy or later. There would be a lot of political deals and talk on this but also strong chance for explosive turns and big swings. the other half of the deck would be ramp and those copy/return spells. This allows for you to cast the big spells if they’re in your hand and not up for auction. \n\nNo matter where a player is they can go to the auction for a chance at something useful. You just may also get a piece of the pie! \n\n(trying to better work the power level of the auction spells or maybe group them or theme them X draw spells X equipment spells etc. I’m leaning towards more permanents as they incentives your opponents to keep you alive longer) \n\n\n"}]}
