{"ops":[{"insert":"Aristocrats decks tend to build an engine with three pieces: a token generator, a sac outlet, and sac value (mana or card draw). Eldrazi Scion conveniently bypass two of these requirements allowing us to doubly focus on token generation. \n\nBlack lets us take advantage of classic value engines with cards like [[Species Specialist]] and [[Smothering Abomination]]. Adding green to the mix gives us access to the majority of ETB scion generators that we can double, copy, and recur to cheat extra value from. Beyond that we can fill out the rest of the deck with colorless interaction/support pieces to protect our plan and creature tutors to close out the game.\n\nBeyond being the right color combination, Belbe generates an enormous amount of colorless mana as early as turn two. By the time our engine is online we can keep her around as an attack deterrent or sac her to prevent opponents from ramping.
