Ramping out to a WUBRG-adding mana dork is exciting, especially for what we have planned for that 5 mana. Our plan for this deck is to take advantage of one of my favorite magic cards, "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Grozoth"}},{"insert":", to combo into a devastating pile of 21 nine-drops that will quickly fill our hand, then use Jegantha in a unique way to drop that hand onto the battlefield.\n\nNow, you're probably wondering how we're possibly supposed to take advantage of having a stack of nine-drops in our hand, and what is Jegantha going to do to help, when she can only pay for colored mana costs? Well, the inspiration for this deck comes from the Bringer cycle, one in each color, that let us cast them for the alternate cost of WUBRG mana, each of which have some fun upkeep triggers that will trigger each turn they stick around. We can use "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Bringer of the Red Dawn"}},{"insert":" to swing around our opponent's creatures, "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Bringer of the Black Dawn"}},{"insert":" to constantly make sure we have the best cards in our deck, with the others having very similar purposes.\n\nThe Bringer cycle, though all of them are present, were actually just the inspiration for this deck. In order to get "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Grozoth"}},{"insert":" onto the field early, we will be taking advantage of the various other cards that can give our stack of nine-drops the Bringer abilities. Currently, there are 3 cards that do this, all of which make an appearance her. "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Leyline of Mutation"}},{"insert":" can sneak its way out onto the field immediately with a lucky opening hand, "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Jodah, Archmage Eternal"}},{"insert":" can also offer some early blocks and attacks, while "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Fist of Suns"}},{"insert":" dodges the occasional board wipe, all while Bringing a new dawn. With these cards we can easily go from mana value 9 to 5 [cue Dolly Parton here].\n\n5 mana is still a lot to ask for, even if our commander can now tap to drop a "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Zacama, Primal Calamity"}},{"insert":" onto the battlefield. To hit that WUBRG cost, we have various filters like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Iridescent Tiger"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Crystal Quarry"}},{"insert":", and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Jenson Carthalion, Druid Exile"}},{"insert":" , as well as more typical ramp pieces like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Timeless Lotus"}},{"insert":" and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Channel the Suns"}},{"insert":". \n\nOnce we've assembled the absolutely massive hand of 9 drops from "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Grozoth"}},{"insert":" , we have a lot we can do with it. Typically, the first step is wiping the board with a cheap "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Blasphemous Act"}},{"insert":", then cheating out "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Myojin of Life's Web"}},{"insert":" with an alternate WUBRG cost to drop our entire hand of creatures onto the battlefield. But with a suite of tutors to fish for "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Grozoth"}},{"insert":" and our 9-to-5 mana changers, as well as a solid ramp and draw package, it functions as a pseudo-combo list that hits hard and does some fun things that you don't see every day.
