These are not able to be tutored for in the deck, but are necessary if the pod dictates that you are the Rhystic player. For example, in a pod with three other Midrange decks, mulliganing for Steal Enchantment will ensure you have an early Rhystic Study. You can also try to find silver bullets, such as Grafdiggers Cage and Torpor Orb. These will prevent the faster decks from winning, and give you time to develop. Commandeer can also be helpful against these decks (just wait until Urza has a Necropotence on the field... It's hilarious)."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nOnce you have either a Rhystic Study, or the turbo decks are stopped, start to develop towards a win. The most important thing in order to win is a high density of cheap artifacts that Urza can tap for mana. These allow you to enable the most potent wincons in the deck, as well as dig for cards with Urza's last ability if needed. It is important to Urza out before turn four, as many cheap artifacts and Stax pieces will be dead in hand without your commander.\n\nOther decks, especially the typical midrange decks, will be able to push before Urza can in most games. It is important to not try to outspeed these decks, and instead wait for a window after they push. There is enough free interaction to ensure that you always have some answers, but always remember: it is not your job to play police. Just because you have the counterspells does not mean you are the only one able to deal with the threat.\n\n-WINNING THE GAME-\n\nOnce your window presents itself, such as a failed turn three win by another deck, or a stack war, push with one of three options:\n\nPolymorph. This deck is designed to allow Polymorph of Proteus Staff to always hit. Before casting or activating either, ensure you have two cheap or mana positive artifacts on board (ex. Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Tormods Crypt) and a cheap or free spell in hand. Target the construct made by Urza, or Urza himself, and go through your deck until you find Hullbreaker Horror or Tidespout Tyrant. Now, cast any spell from hand. Use the triggered ability from your Horror or Tyrant and bounce a mana postive artifact to hand. then, recast the mana positive artifact and bounce another cheap or free artifact. Continue to loop these cards, tapping them in-between triggers each time. This will result in infinite blue Mana, Then, put the Mana into Urza's last ability until you hit either Brain Freeze or Codex Shredder. Generate infinite storm with your artifacts, or infintley recast Codex Shredder to mill the table. Tap the construct to cast the Cam, untapping the construct. Then, tap the Cam to cast Helix or Knack. Bounce the Cam back to hand with the construct, untapping it. Now, tap it to add one blue and cast the Cam. Tap the Cam for one blue with Urza, and untap the Construct. Return the Cam to hand with the Construct. In order to win, you need three mana producing artifacts, four mana, and Isochron Scepter. Cast the Scepter, imprinting Dramatic Reversal. Pay two to cast the reversal, untapping the Scepter and all nonland permenants. If you can make more than two mana, this will go mana positive. Continue this loop to make infinite mana and generate infinite storm. With this, you can win in the same way as the previous two lines. Kinnan, Blue Farm, and other decks like these are much more resilient then Urza. \n\nThe weak point of the whole deck is Urza. If he is ever imprisoned in the moon, or stolen in any other way, it is hard to come back. \n\nFinally, decks that can fight through a torrent of counter spells are hard to beat.\n\n-FINAL GOAL-\n\nTo conclude, Urza is a slower control deck that is trying to win after turn three. The meta is currently sloppy and fast, and while Urza can get into the Rhystic Study shennanigans, it cannot go fast. Try this deck if you want to be in charge of the table, and can accurately assess what needs to be countered and what can be allowed to resolve.\n"}]}
