{"ops":[{"insert":"I've called this deck \"Celebrity Death Match\" - It's a bunch of Legendary creatures picking fights and the treasure/artifact sub-win conditions are the prize money. Rakdos \"Goad\" is a good time!\n\n**It's important to keep in mind that Goad style decks have a high chance of coming in second place, but this deck can win\n**Creatures your opponents control that are goaded/forced into combat are required to attack you if there are no other players left to attack\n**This deck is NOT suited for a 3-player game, best with 4 players\n\nSo what you wanna do is, as quickly as you can, set the board up so your 3 opponents are goaded/forced into combat with each other as much as possible. The deck has several ways to get this ball rolling but the main forced combat engine is the Commander; Kardur is best used as a kind of control piece, he doesn't necessarily need to come out on T4 but you definitely wanna be paying attention and cast him with good timing, on turns 3-5 he can be very disruptive. And that's basically the key to this deck, just keeping the flow of combat going in a triangle and watching the other 3 players play disgruntled Magic at each other, and hopefully doing lots of damage to each other for you to capitalize on later. Spells like Supernatural Stamina/Malakir Rebirth paired with cards like Village Rites/Deadly Dispute work nicely together to sac and bring Kardur back to re-trigger his ability on your turn and have passive benefits like card draw or token generation. \n\nIn the mean time the deck comes with several cards with some decent passive effects, some Legendary creatures and some enchantments that will continue to keep beating opponents down while they kill each other, or build a beneficial board state on your end. As usual good timing with protection/removal pieces is vital because opponents will be using their other resources to try to break you down if they don't have the option to go to combat with you. \n\nClosing the game out when it comes down to 1v1 can be tough, that's why I tried to keep cards that use the keyword 'Goad' to a minimum and at this point re-triggering Kardur isn't the plan. The deck has two alternate win-cons, Hellkite Tyrant and Revel in Riches; both of these win-cons will need to be steadily and carefully built up over the course of the game for them to pay off, chances are kinda low you'll be able to last-second cast these for the payoff in the final turns so don't be afraid to use some treasure tokens throughout the game if you find yourself missing some land drops. If you must attempt to win in combat, creatures like Vashta Nerada, Twinflame Tyrant and Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink are tried and true. Good timing with any removal pieces you have available will go a long way in the end-game. \n\n\n\nOther notes:\n\nHellkite Tyrant and Revel in Riches are for the flavor. While I do feel non-combat win-cons are a good idea for this deck, those cards could be easily replaced to benefit the synergy of the deck if necessary. Depends on a person's playstyle.\n\n-Hellkite Tyrant could be Atsushi the Blazing Sky, Bonehoard Dracosaur, The Infamous Cruelclaw\n-Revel In Riches could be The Sound of Drums, Rain of Gore, The Reaver Cleaver, Electroduplicate, Unexpected Windfall\n-Massacre Wurm or Bolas' Citadel could be Sower of Discord for a more silly, casual game\n\nOut of all the additional legendary creatures included, Valgavoth would probably be the best choice as an alternative Commander\n\nI would really love to run Deadpool, Trading Card in this deck but I don't think there's enough synergy there to justify adding him to the roster. His ability is capable of re-triggering Kardur's ability but there are other creatures that can do that better with virtually no downside.\n"}]}
