Playing Eddie early could enable you to bait interaction while having defensive spells as backup or making his entrance \"uncounterable\".\n\nVenom on the other side is a real powerhouse. With Menace, Trample and Haste Venom does have a good Offensive. But now for the main part, when Venom attacks you can sacrifice a creature, draw cards equal to the CMC of the sacrifice and then allows you to cheat out a permanent with CMC equal or less. THIS is why I love Venom.\n\nMy idea for the deck was for a Jund Reanimation Shell, so that it for one doesn't really matter what Venom consumes as it eventually will come back and secondly, as Venom paints a huge target on it's back, it's okay to lose him. In theory you only need to attack once or twice with venom to have gained enough value that the deck now plays itself and without the need of your commander. As a smaller sub-theme since Venom needs a lot of Mana, a few treasure generating cards are also included.\n\n2. Game Plan Overview"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nWhat should you look for in a starting hand? Since Venom is relatively mana hungry that is also the most important thing. You should have at least 3 lands with something else to do. Ramp is good but if you had to mulligan too much, 3 lands is okay too as long as you can fly under the radar for a bit. Venom is a snowball-y deck, there will be times where his growth is not as explosive.\n\nEarly game is always the same, work towards Venom and then try to swing and draw some cards. Hopefully with some smaller creatures that you can feed of or some utility permanents.\n\n─────\n"},{"insert":{"image":true}},{"insert":{"image":"https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/0e/47/09/0e47095a54a9a95de907612452c49593.jpg"}},{"insert":"\nArt by: "},{"attributes":{"background":"#13141a","color":"inherit","link":"https://www.marvel.com/comics/creators/691/jonboy_meyers"},"insert":"Jonboy Meyers"},{"insert":"\n"}]}
