Description
{"ops":[{"attributes":{"underline":true},"insert":"Overview:"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Aristocrats combo control deck that aims to fill every players board with creatures, kill those creatures to draw cards and deal damage, and win the game with an aristocrats creature combo. Massacre Girl provides card draw to help find combo pieces while controlling the board as well as giving your creatures wither to discourage attackers. Mass reanimation spells allow you to easily recover from board wipes by returning all of your creatures to the battlefield and often letting you immediately combo off to win the game.\n\nThis deck has been redesigned multiple times to try and produce a build with a coherent game plan that can take advantage of Massacre Girls abilities while still advancing towards win conditions. The initial build was a pure control build, which excelled at killing creatures, but struggled to kill opponents. Combos were added, however assembling the combos and wiping the board were often at odds with each other, resulting in games that felt disjointed since the early game would focus on killing to draw cards and prevent attacks since it lacked good blockers and the late game would have to stop killing to quickly try to assemble a combo. A more aggro-oriented version with less removal was built next, and while this provided good blockers and some ability to attack, it lacked explosiveness. \n\nThese three approaches were combined into the current build by focusing on board wipes, creature combos, and mass reanimation spells. This allows us to aggressively play creatures to gain value and discourage attackers, wipe the board as needed to slow down opponents, then play mass reanimation spells to get all of our creatures back when needed. It doesn't matter if our creatures are on the board or in the graveyard since we can get all of our creatures from the graveyard back with a single spell, and we can combo off immediately after reanimating the creatures in many cases.\n"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"underline":true},"insert":"How to play this deck:"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Ramp and play creatures"},{"insert":" - Early game the goals are to get creatures in play and get enough mana to play larger x-spells or play multiple spells per turn later. The down side is that you will often need more than 1 turn to cast all the combo pieces, and your opponents may remove a combo piece before you finish casting the combo on your next turn."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Wipe the board for value"},{"insert":" - Ideally once there are 10+ creatures on your opponents boards you can kill, use a board wipe that gives creatures -X/-X until end of turn to let you draw a bunch of cards with Massacre Girl. Ideally you either want X to be small enough that only tokens are killed or large enough to kill all of your opponents biggest threats. Killing tokens will keep most of your creatures in play and let you avoid drawing too much attention for killing your opponents stuff, but often X removal spells need to be larger to stop opponents from going off. Board wipes with Massacre Girl on the board often result in the turn ending with more than 7 cards in hand, which can allow you to dump a bunch of creatures from your hand to the graveyard and set up for a big mass reanimation spell in a turn or two."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Finish assembling a combo"},{"insert":" - Between the cards in your hand, creatures on your board, and creatures in your graveyard try to assemble a full infinite combo.
