It is important to have a Rule Zero conversation when playing Commander any time, but it is especially important to make a point to tell the pod your deck primarily swaps text with your own creatures, and is not built to spam out Deadpool replacement effects but rather plays like a funky Voltron deck utilizing his swapping ability over stacking equipment, auras, and pump spells on the commander. *That said there are a couple copy effects in the deck, simply swap those out if you do not want any actual cloning effects."},{"insert":"\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"All that said: Your commander is a great tool to address an oppressive board state as it gets around everything as it doesn't target and is a replacement effect. You have many different ways to sacrifice creatures to different effects in order to dump your Deadpool texted leftover creature or reset your Deadpool to swap with a better text box. Sequencing can be important here, usually you're attacking first, then casting Deadpool in MP2 depending on the situation. Also be aware, when you cast Deadpool, you do not share which creature he's swapping text with, that is not information your opponents are entitled to until Deadpool resolves. Just the way he works. So usually you cast Deadpool, check for interaction first, then resolve Deadpool and declare the creature he's swapping with. I wanted a deck that utilized Deadpool's ability in a more unique and less oppressive way, while also making a deck that has a bit of variance in how it looks to win or turn the corner.\n---\nSome neat techs/single card discussion for the Weird Voltron Swap Gameplan with Deadpool:\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Deadpool's Friends"},{"insert":": These are creatures that typically are your targets for Deadpool to swap with, otherwise just good creatures.\n"},{"insert":{"card-link":"Vashta Nerada"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Barbed Servitor"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Stuffy Doll"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Brash Taunter"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Giggling Skitterspike"}},{"insert":" - All of these creatures provide Deadpool with a bit of protection in Indestructible, and also carries additional abilities. Kardur Doomscourge provides a unique way to essentially goad your opponents creatures until your next turn, including any creatures not currently in play (so anything with haste coming in after WILL have to attack) and while not a great text box to throw on Deadpool, our commander does make it possible to repeatably get those Kardur triggers. Gleeful Arsonist is one of the MVPs in that it provides a way to ping your opponents for a hefty 5 each time they cast a non-creature spell as well as give him Undying, so your Deadpool will come right back with a counter if he does get removed.\n"},{"insert":{"card-link":"Prosperous Bandit"}},{"insert":" - I'm testing this guy out as an option to make your Deadpool generate value for you. If you love Deadpool like I do and want to play him A LOT but your pod is not loving the play patterns and is definitely not having fun playing against it, try out this version to keep playing your beloved Marvel character in Commander without being hated on and out of games.\n"}]}
