{"ops":[{"insert":"Hello brewers,"},{"attributes":{"header":3},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nToday, we released a significant update to the stats presented on deck pages!\n\nAs before, deck stats can be found on any deck page directly beneath the deck itself. On desktop, you can also use the \"Pin stats above\" button (located in the top right of your stats area) to lock a condensed version of your deck stats to the right of your deck area. This is a departure from the deprecated right panel we've had in the past, but have found the change to be far more aesthetically pleasing. We hope you agree!\n\n"},{"insert":{"image":"https://i.imgur.com/TfPhYpw.gif"}},{"insert":"\n\nLet's dig into the details.\n\nPresented data "},{"attributes":{"header":3},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nWe've greatly expanded on the deck data available. There are four different categories of charts/tables:\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Color production/cost"},{"insert":": Similar to the old pie charts, the color section of deck stats breaks down sources of each color's production and cost. As before, you can choose to show production out of identity colors (off by default) and limit production to lands only. More detailed data presented on individual production/cost bars for each color should be more easily digested. "},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Mana curve"},{"insert":": In addition to the deck's full mana curve graph, we now also present smaller graphs of mana curves broken down by characteristics like color, categories, types and more."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Probability"},{"insert":": Our probability table has received a significant upgrade, now allowing you to define "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"how many"},{"insert":" of a card/category/type/etc. you want to have drawn in X number of cards. "},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Focused/selected cards"},{"attributes":{"header":3},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nLeft clicking/tapping on any element in the deck stats section will focus those cards. Focusing is a new deck page interaction which will slightly fade an non-focused cards on the page. \n\n"},{"insert":{"image":"https://i.imgur.com/T7W5g4p.png"}},{"insert":"\n\n\nNotably, this is distinct from selecting which, as before, can be done by ctrl-left clicking/long pressing cards. Similar to focusing, cards can also be selected from deck stats elements with these actions. To increase visibility, selected cards now appear with an orange highlight and checkmark in addition to a solid orange border. \n\n"},{"insert":{"image":"https://i.imgur.com/oeHZV2V.png"}},{"insert":"\n\n\nCards can be focused and selected simultaneously with different widgets appearing for each in the lower left corner of your screen while active. Focusing was implementing to enable workflows in which different stat groups are examined (i.e. focused) in sequence while individual cards are selected to be edited, removed, etc. We're approaching focusing as a purely visual aid while selecting remains the means by which multiple cards can be edited. \n\n"},{"insert":{"image":"https://i.imgur.com/V8B7Zsr.png"}},{"insert":"\n\n\nA new table to the right of the deck stats section displays a list of either focused cards, selected cards, or your entire deck. Cards can be modified directly from this table, allowing you to reference and edit your deck without leaving the context of the stats section. \n\n"},{"insert":{"image":"https://i.imgur.com/RFwg5VR.png"}},{"insert":"\n\n\nIs there anything we've missed?"},{"attributes":{"header":3},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nThat just about does it! We've really enjoyed using the new stat tools ourselves, so we're super excited to get them in your hands. Any feedback you have is greatly appreciated!\n\nAlso, a big shoutout to our community over in "},{"attributes":{"link":"https://discord.gg/p5HwVkqZGq"},"insert":"Discord"},{"insert":". Folks over there have been providing valuable feedback over the past few weeks to get this update to where it landed. Please consider joining us!\n\nThank you for your time!\n\n- The Archidekt Team\n\n\n9/23/24 Edit - Condensed view (Pie!)"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nHi all!\n\nAfter considering the feedback offered below, we've implemented a \"Condensed view\" in the deck stats side panel. The goal of this view is to provide users with an at-a-glance reference for some of the most basic deck stats available. It is very similar to the stats that were available pre-update. \n\nWe'd also like to address the pastry in the room: Pie charts. While we maintain that the old pie chart provided an at times confusing and/or incomplete look at your deck's mana production/costs, we've been convinced that it has a place as a quick reference to make sure your production is on the right track. The three dot menu next to \"Color Cost and Production\" in \"Condensed view\" offers an option to \"Display as pie chart\". This choice is cached to your browser. \n\n"},{"insert":{"image":"https://i.imgur.com/ahSaOtC.png"}},{"insert":"\n\nWe hope this will assuage some concerns regarding the update. As always, we are grateful for those who have provided feedback!\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Could you bring back the option to have the pie chart again? It's what helped me the most visually to distribute my mana base. The new tech is super nice and really well advance and all, but the pie chart is a more friendly option when it comes to the mana distribution of a deck. I understand that the lines at the top or supposed to do the same thing, but it isn't the same to me practically\n"}]}
