With this deck, we are looking to overload our opponents with information and interrupt them on every action they take in order to throw off their game. We are also a wizened old.... well, wizard, so we'll be sure to take up as much time equity as possible by shuffling, scrying, surveiling, and generally durdling around.\n\nWe are playing 7 cards that reveal all players' hands or top-of-library & also Knowledge Pool & Teferi's Puzzle Box. With these cards on the battlefield, everyone will be exposed to a ton more information than they are used to, and the game will slow to a snail's pace as players keep checking everyone else's hands or trying to remember the previously revealed cards before they do anything. To make matters worse for our opponents, in addition to our convoluted commander, we are playing 11 cards that they'll be sure to have to read multiple times over (many of which fail the \"reading the card explains the card\" test) and scratch their heads wondering what we are trying to do (thank you, Ice Age). If all that still weren't enough, we've got 23 cards that stick out on the battlefield and trigger when our opponents take various actions (cast a spell, cast their first noncreature spell, cast their 2nd spell, draw a card, draw their 2nd card, attack us with 2+ creatures, have creatures enter, ramp lands, etc.) to disrupt their train of thought and leave them confused about the state of the game and their plan of attack. Last but not least, we have 24 ways to shuffle or force our opponents to shuffle and are also playing the notoriously durdle-y Sensei's Divining Top & Scroll Rack to ensure we take up plenty of extra time. {"ops":[{"insert":"Welcome to"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":" The Tortoise/Tap Out"},{"insert":"\n\tThis deck is an Archelos commander deck with the singular goal to make your opponents \"tap out\". Now making your opponents want to concede or tapping all of their stuff is nothing new, however this deck, though probably not tuned to the max , only has one safe-ish wincon; making your opponents pay life to destroy themselves. Now this is done using Zur's Weirding, an enchantment that lets players stop opponents card draw by paying 2 life. The goal of the deck is to lock the players into most of a stalemate, except some of your board and with Zur's Weirding on the battlefield, so that players either pay the two life to die faster or draw themselves out. However, if they choose to draw themselves out we have a way of tormenting them further with Timetwister; making them shuffle all graveyards and hands back into the decks and playing this wonderful game of \"tap out\" again. Oh, and we also have an Elixir of Immortality in our deck just so we never run out either and our opponents are the assured ones to die. Deck runs tons of tutors and fast mana to mitigate the effects to itself and fun for flavor cards like Royal Assassin to kill those tapped cards.\n\nDecklist: "},{"attributes":{"link":"https://www.archidekt.com/decks/9093635/tap_out"},"insert":"https://www.archidekt.com/decks/9093635/tap_out"},{"insert":"\n\nIn the words of Archelos, \"Life...is not...a race\", and this deck surely takes its sweet time. \n"}]}

It usually plays out like pillowfort, but it's entirely fear-based! Counterspell Guttersnipes, Blood Artists, and Grand Abolishers. Try not to monologue or cackle as combat decks fall right into your web.\n\nYour early game is so unequivocally fair and innocent that you can often slip by unnoticed, counterspelling important spells and pushing to get the noncombat players eliminated early, then hard countering combat decks in the later game. \n\nVolo provides consistent, scaling card draw to make sute that when they \"Make them have it,\" you do, in fact, have it. Master Chef is mostly there to provide green for the deck, but it does have some niche synergies with Cryptic Trilobite and Incubation Druid. Additionally, it makes Volo into a 3/4 if you drop it first, making him resistant to removal like Lightning Bolt and Abrade.\n\nAfter you've established a heavily controlled boardstate, you can win through a variety of high-impact cards, like Tishana hitting for 10+ damage, Lab Man, Dopplegang-ing a giant beater from one of your more stompy opponents, there are many ways to close the game out, but most often they just scoop before you get the chance. \n\nI do not play this deck often, as I like having friends that don't view me as Palpatine.\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Here it is, in all its glory! \n\nI’ve built my Angus Mackenzie deck with the sole purpose of driving my opponents absolutely nuts by shutting them down at every turn and frustrating their strategies. Angus Mackenzie’s ability to prevent all combat damage stops aggressive decks in their tracks, while stax pieces force opponents to play at a crawl. Tax effects make their creatures attempt to sneak in creating a suffocating environment where they struggle to keep up. Sacrifice and destruction effects strip their boards bit by bit, adding to the feeling of helplessness, while my disruptions ensure that any attempts to break free are swiftly shut down. The game becomes a never-ending cycle of them trying to claw back into relevance as I maintain control, making every moment of play feel agonizingly slow.
