{"ops":[{"insert":"When I first got into Magic, the first deck I ever bought was an Archenemy precon that was called \"Assemble the Doomsday Machine\". What I didn't know at the time (2010), was that I needed at least 3 other people to play with, of which, I had none. \n\nFast forward a few years, and I finally found a playgroup in college that played mostly EDH, and did not like the Archenemy format. My response was to make this deck that liked to play around my deck becoming the Archenemy through some salty cards, general control, counterspells, or boardwipes. The fun part on my end is that I got to finally play my Archenemy cards that I had no use for. Did I win all the time? No. But is it a unique way of playing commander with decks that are of similar power? Absolutely!\n\nOver the years, it has evolved from the original 60 cards that the precon had, but the inspiration and motive behind the deck is still there, and even without the Archenemy schemes, it can turn a game into a 4 hour test of endurance if left unchecked.\n\nWithout delay, here is my Archenemy Sen Triplets Deck:\nhttps://www.archidekt.com/decks/8066797/esper_triplets\n"}]}

I do this by bouncing cards back to hands, both in mass, with cards like Flood of Tears and Rivers Rebuke, or pinpoint, with cards like boomerang and vapor snag (bonus points for the vapor snag kill). I also do this in more traditional ways with things like Howling Mine and Struggle for Project Purity. I specifically avoided cards that damage players when the draw cards or wheel effects because I felt like both of those things were sort of against the spirit of the deck. The original deck also used gigadrowse and exhaustion, but those aren't terribly enjoyable cards to play against, so I cut them. The most obvious inclusion that I don't have here is Cyclonic Rift, because while it fits the theme of the deck perfectly, the sound it makes when it resolves is a sad trombone, and I only want happy trombones in my games.\n\nMy primary wincon is Ebony Owl Netsuke, Fevered Visions, and friends and I've included a number of ways to make multiple copies of these cards like Extravagant Replication and Replication Technique. My secondary wincon is using cards like Gaze of Adamaro and Runeflare Trap to boop people out of nowhere, and copying them if necessary with cards like Galvanic Iteration and Pyromancer's Goggles. I've also included a few pet cards, primarily Chandra, Awakened Inferno (I just enjoy lighting my opponents on fire and watching them slowly perish) and Explosion of Riches (you haven't lived until you've cast this with a Mnemonic Deluge). \n\nThere are also a number of normal control elements and ramp, the veggies that help the deck actually have the opportunity to do its thing. This could work with a variety of Izzet commanders, but Keranos is one of my favorite cards of all time, and having a hard to deal with source of damage and card advantage is helpful more often than you might think. \n\n(edited to add description from decklist to this post)\n"}]}
