{"ops":[{"insert":"Just curious who's selecting finalists for these contests? I was pretty confident I'd at least get an honorable mention for building a usable deck with 1% ubiquity rating with a neat Arboria pillowfort trick. If that doesn't embody the prompt then I'd like to learn more about who's grading these contests so I can build to their interest/preference instead. Just a little frustrating to spend 20+ hours researching cards with 0.0% EDHRec ratings that work together to form a decent jank build that is playable and fun while gettting the lowest hipster rating possible. Not trying to be salty/whiny, but yeah, hard not to be little salty about the lost time when the finalists selected have higher hipster ratings. Which feels contrary to the prompt and more like the judges have a bias that I should learn to cater to. \n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Finalist selection is a group effort by the Archidekt team. \n\nWhile it is sincerely impressive that you kept your Hipster Quotient so low, the prompt only asked users to build an interesting deck with 150% or less-- not the lowest number possible. I don't mean this as a \"gotcha\" moment and it obviously didn't count against you, but just selecting the three decks with the lowest totals would have been a misrepresentation of the prompt. \n\nFor what it's worth, I recall yours being one of the 10 or so we had the 160ish submissions pared down to. The incredibly lower % certainly helped it stand out. But the three ultimately chosen we felt best embodied the prompt, and frankly it's not something I want to set a precedent of explaining beyond the descriptions provided in the poll on Twitter/newspost on here. \n\nRegardless, it's best to keep in mind that at the end of the day, any prompt that includes \"interesting\" as one of its requirements is going to be incredibly subjective. There's no secret formula I can give you that will make whoever is judging it find your deck more ore less interesting than every other submission. I apologize for the disappointing response, but we're doing our best and stand by it. \n"}]}
