Empty Categories should either be deleted or show up while D&D

{"ops":[{"insert":"Hey,\n\nthe behavior that empty categories aren't deleted automatically and can only be accessed by clicking on a card and selecting the in the cards specific menu, was always a bit confusing to me.\nIt is especially confusing or annoying when creating new categories and one gets told that this name already exists.\n\nI would suggest that they are either automatically removed after saving the deck or the inclusion of a drop zone to add cards to them.\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"This is a fair point. I mostly work with drag and drop myself so it's definitely something I've run into from time to time. \n\nIt's unlikely that we'd decide to remove empty categories automatically-- while not necessarily worse, it could be trading one problem for another by adding extra work for folks who don't use drag and drop (i.e. needing to recreate a category instead of just selecting it from the card details menu). \n\nHaving drop zones for empty categories is more likely. We're discussing right now how that would look and whether it would be opt-in or not, but I wouldn't expect anything in the immediate future. Regardless, I appreciate you reaching out with the suggestion!\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"I love this idea! I am constantly rejiggering how I categorize my decks based on what strategies and substrategies I aim to support, and that often leads me with a raft of categories with one or no cards assigned to them. What's more, I never use the out-of-the-box card type categories (though I'm not sure how you code them under the hood—I do look at the Type categorization on occasion, but only for specific archetypes).\n\nSpitballing here, but I think a good treatment would be an option in the kebab menu next to each category name on the decklist page that deletes the category, perhaps with a warning pop-up that says the cards will "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"not"},{"insert":" be deleted but will revert to the next assigned category, and if there is no alternate category assigned to them, will be reassigned to their card type, or to \"uncategorized,\" or something like that.\n"}]}
