{"ops":[{"insert":"https://archidekt.com/decks/2589605#lord_salty,_the_fun_collector\nXander was one of the first cards I saw out of New Capenna, and I instantly wanted to build something around him. This deck plays into Xander's mill mechanic with a lot of cards that get players discarding and milling, and also has a small opponent casting sub-theme to fit in with the library control of the deck. This deck will probably make a lot of people considerably angry, which is kind of the point of the whole thing. I also included a section in the deck for all the New Capenna cards I included. :) \n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"https://archidekt.com/decks/1757644#Forced_Fruition_(Queza,_Augur_of_Agonies)\n\nThis deck's humble beginnings were a Golos group hug deck. I gain my opponents' favor by helping them draw cards, then I punish them with damage, mill, and overflowing value. \n\nCard selection is the name of the game. I want my opponents to see their decks, but I don't want them able to cast everything. I slow them down with Rhystic Study, Damping Sphere, and Defense Grid. I protect myself from their best cards with Solitary Confinement, Breathstealer's Crypt, and Zur's Weirding. Bojuka Bog and Rest in Peace are there to stop any graveyard shenanigans from getting out of hand. \n\nThere aren't any tutors and the deck is shy on ramp, but t the sheer huge quantity of card-draw helps me hit my land drops every turn, stay on curve, and keep hitting necessary cards. There's nothing to protect myself from getting milled by my own effects or any recursion for Laboratory Maniac if he gets milled. He is there as a last ditch Hail Mary win-con. Usually I close out the game with draw-related damage like Underworld Dreams, Ob Nixilis, Psychosis Crawler, and my commander Queza, Augur of Agonies.\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"For this contest, I chose Lagrella, the Magpie. \n\nThe deck is essentially a control deck that abuses ETB triggers that wins through blink combos using cathars' crusade and craterhoof behemoth, or goes infinite with various palinchron shenanigans (emiel and deadeye navigator are the enablers). I run various \"blink target permanent\" cards to blink enchantments and artifacts (such as wedding ring), and use clones to double up on value and control effects with Sakashima and Phyrexian metamorph. Urza also makes an appearance for some salty blink strats, as well as combos involving palinchron and a top/cloud key/future sight combo that can draw out the entire deck. There are also potential winning lines with Nexus of Fate, but the deck isn't built around it... I just like the card a lot. The deck is not cEDH as it's not going to win before turn 5, but its definitely able to swing at a high power table and it can be easily powered down for a lower powered table or pod by replacing the combo cards with various value ETB cards and still be on theme. The land count is a little low at 33, but there are multiple MDFCs included to make up the difference. Gotta love the flexibility. \n\nI chose Lagrella over Falco Spara for this deck for three reasons as they share a color and both had some possible blink strats. First and second, Lagrella creates an interesting choice in whether or not my opponent removes her as I almost always get value back when she leaves and having a 3 mana removal for a commander creates an opportunity to mind game your opponent or respond to various threats whenever I need to. The third reason is that Falco Spara, which might have been a replacement for Future Sight as it also allows me to play off the top of the deck, requires me to remove counters to do that and I didn't want to complicate the build with another mechanic. In the future I might consider a Falco Spara deck as I think there's some potential there but this wasn't that time.\n\nAnyway, here is the link: \n\nhttps://archidekt.com/decks/2654903#Blinkin'_Magpies!\n\nThanks!\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"https://archidekt.com/decks/2650086#Evelyn\n\nThis extreme budget deck (62 dollars if paying top dollar), does what budget decks need to do to be competitive against pricier opponents... uses their own cards against them.\n\nBest played in an environment for 4 or more players, Evelyn's mechanic is simple. Bring out a vampire, then drool over 3+ options for new cards to play. Unlike many exile-to-play tricks, this one has no limitation on the card type, only that it be 1 per turn. Meaning consistent land plays if needed, creature removal when needed, and best of all, additional wincons as needed.\n\nEvelyn also has the advantage of being flexible in the mana required to cast. But perhaps her best feature is flash, letting you turn her loose just before your next turn, giving you a better opportunity to steal initial cards.\n\nThe best budget vampies are here (with a few cuts to keep the mana curve low and save that mana for casting other players' cards), along with a hefty amount of removal/neutering cards. When building budget, the only thing better than stealing another person's deck is making their commander lose all abilities rather than sending it back to the command zone, and so much of the removal focuses on that thanks to the inclusion of blue.\n\nArtifact mana, the one cheap tutor, and other cards are no-brainers. Lands are somewhat up to preference but I chose to give myself the best odds in all three colors despite the heavy focus of black costs.\n"}]}

A few sac outlets are included to get maximum value on our tokens before they're sac'd at EoT. We also have Sundial to let us keep our tokens for later if we choose to respond to the EoT trigger.\n\nOur mana base looks wonky, and is saturated with many fetch style lands as well as some sac costs so we can fill our graveyard with as many as possible to gain maximum value off of Cavalier of Flames and any potential copies.\n"}]}
