{"ops":[{"insert":"For this contest, I wanted to bring something I haven't seen much of. Now Esika is typically used to cheat out creatures, but in my time playing her in brawl format on MTG Arena, I didn't see anyone playing Esika as a mutate deck. I had an absolute blast playing Esika Mutate on Arena and it lends itself to some very different strategies. I have outlined those strategies in the description of this deck. The brawl version was a blast to play and the expanded commander version is just as enjoyable. {"ops":[{"insert":"This is an edit of a deck that I've been brewing for a while now. I've been a big fan of Uncommon Legendary Creatures as commanders, and I've really enjoyed Grumgully. This is a nice play on the +1/+1 counter theme, and I made it to be synergistic. I know Persist is a thing with Grumgully, and if I were building to make it more competitive, then sure. I just really like the counter synergy and I've never really been a fan of infinite combos anyway. Enjoy! \nhttps://archidekt.com/decks/2291142#A_Modern_Take_on_Grumgully\n"}]}

I was going for a mill strategy, in which to utilize both Lazav's shifting possibilities and to have a fun play in which I can grab someone's creature with Gyruda as well as Lazav become them. The final product ends up trying to play the best of your opponent's stuff as much as possible, while having a few fun creatures of my own that will have fun seeing a lot of graveyard.. It is jam packed with combo pieces and all the cards are Modern legal according to Archidekt’s data base. There are also no cards like Sol Ring to take away from the modern theme. {"ops":[{"insert":"Ever since I saw this zombie ETB tokens deck on you tube (goldfish) for standard, then for modern, I thought it looked like a blast. With the single copy format, I've had to add/find more ETB zombies, but this gave me an excuse to include my favorite zombie, Rank Officer, into the deck (regardless if he belongs here, this is my pet card). The other part of the deck focuses on replicating the new Necroduality card by either copying the enchantment or having a similar effect.\nI rounded the deck out by sticking with the original sideboard and other spells used in the build (as allowed by EDH rules) to keep a modern feel.\n\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"https://www.archidekt.com/decks/2268625#Commander_dredge\n\nDo you like playing Magic but find concepts like hand size or only drawing one card for turn annoying?\nDo you hate cards like leyline of the void, dauthi voidawlker, or tormods crypt?\nDo you require an extra playmat to display every relevant card in your graveyard?\n\nIf you answered yes to any of these questions you might be a dredge player and this deck will probably appeal to you. Dredge is one of the most unique archetypes in all of modern that relies on the \"dredge x\" mechanic. When a card with dredge x is in your graveyard you can replace any draw with milling x cards and returning the dredge card to your hand. With the right cards dredge decks are easily capable of milling half their library in a couple of turns. In tribute of this amazing and incredibly frustrating deck I've ported Modern dredge to Commander. This is finally your chance to play with the staggering 5 cards that have been banned out of dredge over the years. Enjoy a familiar deck in Magic's best multiplayer format. Enjoy always having the biggest graveyards and may Leyline of the void never enter the battlefield.\n"}]}
