{"ops":[{"insert":"Hey everyone, I played draft a few times at my local card store when I was in high school but haven't touched the game since. Recently my friend and my sister invited me to play Commander, I said yes knowing full well I have no idea what or how to play current MTG. More than that I was asked to learn how to build a commander deck using this site and I have to say, I am COMPLETELY lost. I have absolutely no idea what I am doing and was wondering how to get help. Most guides I've seen on YouTube are targeted towards current players who are playing Commander for the first time and while learning the rules has been helpful it does not help my understand HOW to BUILD the deck itself. Any feedback would be helpful. I will also answer questions to the best of my ability.\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Welcome back to the game! To clarify, are you looking for \ntactically how to use Archidekt to build a deck, i.e. where on the site and how to add cards? or "},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"general heuristics for how to build a deck, i.e. what proportion of lands and various types of spells, from draw to value pieces to wincons? (or both?)"},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nWhat type of deck do you think you would enjoy playing? All-in voltron, zillions-of-triggers spellslinger, token go-wide, graveyard recursion, aristocrats, ... the list goes on. But some idea might further help us (and you) suggest where to start\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Thanks for replying so quickly. \nSo I generally understand how to add cards I know (searching the name) and I'm pretty sure for a 100 card deck you need like 30-40 lands right? But when it comes to finding new cards that could help I am at a loss."},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"My issue is with the actual theory behind building. Most of the time I just used precons and during draft I had a body double point out which card to take. "},{"attributes":{"list":"ordered"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"The most fun I had with precons was the ability to have weak monsters become stronger and use stuff like Lifelink to keep me alive. I was looking through some of the decks that have been built and I think I like the Edgar Markov Commander (lost of small guys that make each other stronger). I am willing to try a variety of playstyles and willing to learn.\n"}]}
