{"ops":[{"insert":"The goal with this deck is relatively straightforward; beat the opponent down with Bone Picker before they can match the value of a 3/2 flyer on turn 1.\n\nATTN!!! This is still a WIP and I am not an amazing deck builder. I just love pauper and got very excited to see Bone Picker downshifted.\n\nBreakdown~\nAs for the super important cards, we're looking at Wild Cantor, Blood Pet, and Bone Picker. An opening hand with Bone Picker, either Cantor or Blood Pet, and a land that lets you cast Cantor or Blood Pet, allows for a turn 1 Picker, which can get in for some pretty big damage in the early game.\n\nTo fuel later Pickers, we also have 4 Sakura-Tribe Elder, which allows fixing, ramp. thinning, and death triggers all in one card. But how else, you may be asking, do we profit off of deaths? Well, allow me to point you in the direction of Mortician Beetle. Dropping one of these early game can end up with you having a *massive* Beetle in no time at all. It isn't nauseatingly fast, but it does grow rather quickly. We also make use of Caravan Vigil to fix and hopefully ramp off of Morbid.\n\nIn the late game, after we've filled up our bin, Gurmag Angler can help close out games that are kinda dragging along. Blood Pet and Cantor work wonderfully with Angler as well, as each counts for 2 mana if you both sac and delve them away.\n\nIf you find your hand a bit empty, fill it up with Village Rites and Winding Way. Black also gives us access to the best removal in the format by far, and we make use of this by running a full 4 Cast Down, and 2 Snuff Out in case we're in a situation where we find ourselves tapped out. Cards like Brindle Shoat and Nest Invader aren't particularly amazing, but Nest Invader gives us two bodies on one card *and* ramps us, whereas if we can kill or sac our Brindle Shoat we have a 3/3 on the ground, a nice lil beater.\n\nThe sideboard is still a bit of a work in progress and very much tuned more to my meta, but to explain;\n-Caustic Caterpillar helps deal with Affinity and Myr Retriever combo, and can help against Bogles.\n-Innocent Blood can completely turn the tides against Bogles, making them sac their only big threat.\n-Nihil Spellbomb gives us graveyard hate against Reanimator and Retriever combo, as well as a bit of card draw.\n-Choking Sands can help deal with Tron if they get ahead.\n-Battlefield Scrounger may help against Familiars or other Mill-based strategies.\n-We have some more Anglers in the board in case we need some beaters.\n-And my personal favourite; the Crusher. No one expects the Crusher from a deck that isn't Elves or Reanimator.\n"}]}
