It is not a matter of me piloting the deck, but rather me guiding the light where it needs to go and enabling my creatures to follow suit. \n\nMoths in this deck (mostly just my commander) may not attack a player unless they are lured there by the temptation of the lamp. When they are lured, the urge to follow it is irresistible and all moths MUST attack that player.\n\nTo be lured by the temptation of the L A M P (Shine a light in a sense) you must be affected by a lamp or a card with a lamp in the art in the following ways.\n1. This isn't committing a crime but similar.\n\nWhich leads to the question, what happens if we are being lured to multiple opponents? Simple, a roll of the dice. Equally divided. The allure of the L A M P is strong no matter where it shines and the wills of the M O T H cannot be predicted by mere mortal men. Let them go where they must. \n\nBut what about our non-moth creatures?\n\nAmong the many lamps in this deck are many spirits (mostly of innistrad) who wield them, often as identifying features of their character. Like the one and only "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Lantern Spirit"}},{"insert":" itself.\n\nThese are my Spirits of the L A M P and just like the moths of this deck I don't get to order them around willy nilly.\n\nThey are not empowered to attack unless I control a lamp. As they are simply empty vessels until their lamps are illuminated by one of my lamp's lights. Luckily for me they aren't forced to attack and don't have to attack anyone in specific, the way my moths do.\n\nSome highlights of the deck\n- "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Trinket Mage"}},{"insert":", he has L A M P and he seeks L A M P from the depths of your deck. A Lamp connoisseur who tutors for lamps, truly an admirable man.\n- "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Daring Sleuth // Bearer of Overwhelming Truths"}},{"insert":", on his front side, a man with a lamp in his possession. On his back side A MAN WHO HAS BECOME ONE WITH L A M P AND LEADS AN ARMY OF L A M P!\n- "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Duskshell Crawler"}},{"insert":", though not a moth itself, it so clearly exhibits M O T H behavior I think it qualifies. Determined to perch itself upon street lamps night after night despite them buckling under it's pressure, surging with the green energy of the L A M P. I think it well earns the title of M O T H alongside it's lepidopteran cousins.\n- Similarly "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Mothdust Changeling"}},{"insert":" is a changeling who has longed to be and to live as a moth would, the flavor text even explicitly stating their desire for L A M P.\n- What is notable about "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Chillerpillar"}},{"insert":" is that he cannot become monstrous because there are no snow lands with lamps in the art. I still wanted him in this deck and we are still accepting him as a moth even in his larval form, because look at hiiiiiiim. What a good little (massive) goi. Also look at all the moths in the background, that's sick.\n\nFinal little note, valgavoth and a whole Lotta duskmourn stuff should probably be in here huh. Sort of half his aesthetic is moth, lol. Missed out on updating the moth part when updating this deck for the contest cause I was focused on updating the lamp part.\n\nAnyways, hope you enjoyed. Since I forgot to do this description until after I was already chosen as a finalist I can say my competitors have really great lists and so do a LOT of the other submissions this month.\n\nIt is pure joy to see "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Whippoorwill"}},{"insert":" in any decklist and I think the natural reaction to most people seeing the card is saying \"aww, let the poor little guy fly\" and enabling that is gold.\n\nAnd "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Goblin Bomb"}},{"insert":" is such a silly silmuntenously whimsical and maniacal card, that definitely deserves all the love of a deck dedicated to it and all the madness and hilarity that ensues because of it.\n\nGood luck to my fellow finalists and have fun everyone!\n"}]}
