Exile X target creatures, then investigate X times. Return the exiled cards to the battlefield tapped under their owners' control at the beginning of the next end step. (To investigate, create a Clue token. It's an artifact with "{2}, Sacrifice this artifact: Draw a card.")
Prowess (Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.) You may look at the top card of your library any time. You may cast noncreature spells from the top of your library. If you cast a spell this way, you may cast it as though it had flash.

Protection
Flash When Lost in the Maze enters the battlefield, tap X target creatures. Put a stun counter on each of those creatures you don't control. (If a permanent with a stun counter would become untapped, remove one from it instead.) Tapped creatures you control have hexproof.
As an additional cost to cast this spell, you may exile any number of blue cards from your hand. This spell costs {2} less to cast for each card exiled this way. Up to X target creatures phase out. (While they're phased out, they're treated as though they don't exist. Each one phases in before its controller untaps during their next untap step.)
Exile any number of target creatures and/or planeswalkers you control. At the beginning of the next end step, return each of them to the battlefield under its owner's control. Each of them enters the battlefield with an additional +1/+1 counter on it if it's a creature and an additional loyalty counter on it if it's a planeswalker.
Ramp
{T}: Add {U}. {2}{U}: Put an hour counter on Midnight Clock. At the beginning of each upkeep, put an hour counter on Midnight Clock. When the twelfth hour counter is put on Midnight Clock, shuffle your hand and graveyard into your library, then draw seven cards. Exile Midnight Clock.
Recursion
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell from your hand, you may cast up to one target card of the other type from your graveyard. If a spell cast from your graveyard this way would be put into your graveyard, exile it instead. Choose a Background (You can have a Background as a second commander.)
Removal
Light Up the Night deals X damage to any target. It deals X plus 1 damage instead if that target is a creature or planeswalker. Flashback—{3}{R}, Remove X loyalty counters from among planeswalkers you control. If you cast this spell this way, X can't be 0. (You may cast this card from your graveyard for its flashback cost. Then exile it.)
Choose any number of target creatures, planeswalkers, and/or players. For each of them, exile the top card of your library, then Soulfire Eruption deals damage equal to that card's mana value to that permanent or player. You may play the exiled cards until the end of your next turn.
Tokens
First strike, menace Whenever you cast your first instant or sorcery spell each turn, you may cast a spell with lesser mana value that shares a card type with it from your hand without paying its mana cost. If you don't, create First Mate Ragavan, a legendary 2/1 red Monkey Pirate creature token. It gains haste until end of turn.
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, create an X/X colorless Construct artifact creature token, where X is that spell's mana value. {3}{U}{U}, Exile Metallurgic Summonings: Return all instant and sorcery cards from your graveyard to your hand. Activate only if you control six or more artifacts.
Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, create a 1/1 colorless Servo artifact creature token. −2: Target artifact you control becomes a copy of another target artifact or creature you control until end of turn, except it's an artifact in addition to its other types.
Magecraft — Whenever you cast or copy an instant or sorcery spell, scry 1. If that spell's mana value is 5 or greater, create a 4/4 blue and red Elemental creature token. If that spell's mana value is 10 or greater, Zaffai, Thunder Conductor deals 10 damage to an opponent chosen at random.
