{"ops":[{"insert":"Alright, this has been a long time coming\n\nGriffin Aerie has been a pet card of mine for a long time and I've always wanted to build a deck around it.\n\nHere it is! A deck fully revolving around gaining 3 life.\n\nOur win cons are Griffin Aerie (of course), Lone Rider, and Book of Exalted Deeds. These either transform or make tokens when you gain 3 life on your turn, which happens a lot. \n\nCards like Candy Trail, Potion of Healing, Carrot Cake, and Cling to Dust provide card selection/advantage and allow you to churn through your deck. On the flip side, they all can also give 3 life to activate our various win cons. \n\nRemoval spells like Oath of Kaya, Gumdrop Poisoner, and Lay Down Arms can all also gain you 3 life. Please consider Gumdrop Poisoner a 5-drop, as she needs at least 3 life to be gained in order to do something which in most cases translates to 2 mana. Lay Down Arms can also be used on your own creatures, say a rabbit or griffin, to gain 3 life and (if you have at least two griffin aeries) generate an extra token. Though, you probably should only use that in a pinch.\n\nVanishing Verse obviously doesn't gain any life but it is just very versatile being an instant speed exile to any permanent, should it be monocoloured. \n\nDarkstar Augur is great as a 4-drop for snowballing leads and generating pure card advantage. There are 3 great reasons he works in this deck: 1. you gain a lot of life through the game so the cost of drawing is offset, 2. most cards are 2 cost or below so the chances of paying a lot of life are very low, 3. he flies just like the angels and griffins :')\n\nLone Rider is great because once he flips, he can trigger Griffin Aerie and Book of Exalted Deeds for free every turn, not to mention It That Rides as One is great at tempo and pressuring the opponent. There is an interesting interaction with Silverquill Charm and Lone Rider as you can give him two counters to flip him and he keeps them when he flips, becoming a 6/6 Trample, First Strike, Lifelinker 0_0\n\nAs for the sideboard, Enduring Tenacity provides a way to pivot the deck more into burn, used alongside Oath of Kaya and Silverquill Charm, you can pump out a lot of damage from your side of the board. Tormod's Crypt is good against any graveyard combo / shenanigans. Duress is great against any control decks that might have pesky answers to your win conditions but also is just a great removal spell in general. Sunset revelry works SO well if you lose the first game, it can do everything the other cards in the deck want to do for 2 mana. I've played heaps of games where I've been left with an Enduring Tenacity and 2 Sunset Revelries that each draw me a card, create two humans, gain me 4 life and do 4 damage to the opponent, just MEGA value.\n\n# What hand should you keep?\n\nGenerally look for at least 2 lands, 3 is the best, 4 is usually too much. But it depends on which cards you have, if you see Candy Trails, Carrot Cakes, Potions of Healing that might allow to keep going even with 2 lands then its ok to keep but otherwise DON'T. Remember the deck only runs 20 lands because it cannot afford to flood, the cards don't do a whole lot on their own and heavily rely on each other to make things happen. If you sideboard heavier things like Enduring Tenacity and side out cheaper things maybe consider a more mana heavy start.\n"}]}
