{"ops":[{"insert":"Land: \n\nI peeled a few land out of the deck, mostly basics, which brings the new land total to 36 (plus one MDFC, in recommendations). The land I'm recommending adding comes to about $45 and should drastically increase your chances of hitting colors. Most are pretty straight-forward includes, but of special note:\n\n+ Canopy Vista and Scattered Groves - Both have the Forest and Plains types, which means you can find them with Farseek, Nature's Lore and Three Visits, as well as with:\n\n+ Krosan Verge - An absolutely bonkers fetch land that can grab TWO dual lands with one activation!\n\n+ Gavony Township - Sweet, sweet +1/+1 counters for the team!\n\n+ Unclaimed Territory and Secluded Courtyard - Name humans!\n\n+ Command Beacon - When you have a commander as mana-pricey as Kyler, you'll want some alternate ways to get him cast in the late game after a few board wipes or targeted kill spells. This is one of them, on a land.\n\nAdd: \n\n+ Adeline, Resplendent Cathar - I just played against a Kyler deck last night on Spelltable, and Adeline does WORK! She doesn't have to attack to get the human tokens, you just have to attack at all. An attack with Kyler in play is instant three +1/+1 counters on Kyler, and a beefed up attacking force.\n\n+ Ascend from Avernus - One of the major routes I went to help improve the deck was to include some recursive and recovery mechanics for Kyler. In long games where Kyler has died several times, you may eventually just choose to let him go to your graveyard so that you can recur him with something like Ascend from Avernus or some later cards we'll mention, which has the upside of also getting back most of your other creatures in the same motion.\n\n+ Bala Ged Recovery - A Regrowth with a land on its backside. Very good card.\n\n+ Concordant Crossroads - Our one haste enabler for the field in green, but be wary as this gives all creatures haste, not just your own. You do NOT want to slap this down the moment you draw it; rather, save it for late game when the board has been wiped, you can recur your entire board with a massive Ascend from Avernus or Storm of Souls, get a crap-ton of Kyler triggers, then plop this down to swing for the kill.\n\n+ Drannith Magistrate - A little light stax that is also a human!\n\n+ Esper Sentinel - Card draw that is also a human!\n\n+ Luminarch Aspirant - A nice little card that buffs itself, your other guys, or Kyler for more raw power.\n\n+ Nature's Lore - Ramp fixing.\n\n+ Realmwalker - Being able to play humans off the top deck is a form of card advantage that's pretty nice.\n\n+ Saffi Eriksdotter - A human that helps protect your Kyler. Can also enable some infinite lines if you decide you want to juice the deck up even more and go into combo territory. I didn't go that route here but there are options available (usually Reveillark + Karmic Guide lines, but you need payoffs like life gain or aristocrats).\n\n+ Storm of Souls - Another absolute walloping if your board has been wiped. Bring them all back as 1/1 spirits in addition to their other types (very important line right there) so that Kyler, if you let him go to graveyard, triggers a bunch of times and now your whole board has evasion too!\n\n+ Thalia, Guardian of Thraben - A little bit of stax. Yes, it does increase the mana cost of your noncreatures as well but you have a glut of creatures so it's not too bad for you.\n\n+ Thalia, Heretic Cathar - A little more stax to slow opponents down.\n\n+ The Great Henge - You mentioned you have one. It'd go great in here! Get a discounted mana rock that gains life, draws cards and puts counters on creatures. It's a ridiculous card.\n\n+ Three Visits - Ramp fixing.\n\nCut:\n\n- Diligent Farmhand - While being a human and also ramping is nice, it's a bit too pricey for just one basic land.\n\n- Edge of Autumn - Swapped out for better ramp options.\n\n- Juniper Order Ranger - Too much mana for too little effect.\n\n- Mind Stone - Swapped out for better ramp options.\n\n- Mirror Shield - While I understand it's nice to have some targeted protection for Kyler, the card slots take up space and since we're focusing more on recursion now I think we can do without these types of effects.\n\n- Rampant Growth - Trimmed ramp.\n\n- Roiling Regrowth - Trimmed ramp.\n\n- Sigarda's Summons - A neat, splashy effect, but it's 6 mana which is an awful lot to basically get an extra +2/+2 and flying for some of your creatures. We can do better with some other options.\n\n- Stalwart Pathlighter - A bit of an awkward card. It doesn't protect vs. board wipes since opponents can just wipe during first main phase. It just gives you the ability to attack with reckless abandon, which you can already do with all the buffing and boosting effects you're running. I don't think it does enough to warrant a slot.\n\n- Sun Titan - A classic that's being outshined. Your commander is over 3 CMC so you can't recur Kyler with it. You can recur some of your creatures, but not all. And you run no fetch lands so that value is also gone. Overall we can do better with the slot used elsewhere.\n\n- Swiftfoot Boots - Similar justification to Mirror Shield, the slots for protection are better used for other things.\n\n- Ulvenwald Mysteries - A bit slow. Clues are neat, but we have lots of card draw already, and getting one token when we sac a clue is a bit too slow, even though it can synergize with Kyler. Better off using the slot for other things.\n\n- Yavimaya Elder - Not quite ramp, but still cut in favor of trimmed ramp.\n"}]}
