I've yet to have any issues in my own playgroup, but this should be mentioned. Neither card creates any crazy issues within the game, so I would assume most casual pods wouldn't take issue.\n\nThis is another deck probably 12 years in the making. I still remember trading in some cards at a card show (shops with singles weren't a thing for me) and getting my 60 card Squirrel deck with everything I needed. As my playgroup shifted to Commander, there was no solid choice for a Squirrel commander, so my 60 card deck remained unplayed. Then, along came Kaldheim and Toski.\n\nWhile Chatterfang is a Squirrel option, playing mono-G Squirrels is the \"pure\" way to play them, in my opinion. This harkens back to my early squirrel deck, and something about an uncounterable indestructi-squirrel just feels epic. The gameplay is pretty simple: drop Toski, pump him up for giant squirrel attacks, and build up his army alongside him. Nothing like the forest taking over.\n\nMany of the cards in the deck also harken to nostalgia. Parente's 8th Edition Blanchwood Armor is very nostalgic to me, so having a deck that utilizes it feels great. It hits the table with my Earl of Squirrel playmat, and just goes to town. Ursapine, while not a squirrel, is enough of a forest friend that allows for some cheap pumping in the late game if I need a mana sink. With Toski being indestructible, the odds of him staying on the board after being cast are pretty high, so you should be able to attack freely to cast Obscuring Haze freely - nobody ever sees the Green spell in this cycle coming.\n\nThe Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest combo is present in the deck, but you have to draw into it and then wait a turn to swing. It's such a classic use of Squirrels that I had to include it - there's also no haste/mass sacrifice outlet/way to immediately take advantage of it, so it keeps the power level down a bit.\n\nThe intent is to make all the Forests illustrated by Bob Ross. I've also debated on regular-foil versions of some of the Modern Horizons 2 Squirrels vs the old border, but I find the old border is nostalgic to my other squirrels. Shame the foil treatment for MH2 was so blurry for the name and type lines; otherwise, I would consider using them in the deck.\n\nEDIT_v1: Cut Worldly Tutor for Overwhelming Stampede. The deck needed some ways to pump a token squirrel army and smash face. The tutor was typically used to grab a Hermit, which was pretty lackluster.\n\nEDIT_v2: Cut Nature's Lore for Unnatural Growth. I'm unsure that I need more ramp, while Unnatural Growth allows me to pump my entire army and swing, something that isn't always easy with my Squirrels. Combat-based decks need some other tools to help push the damage through and the end the game.\n\nEDIT_v3: I started to feel like the deck isn't packing enough removal, while cards like Seeds of Renewal wasn't doing enough for me. So, out go the seeds, in goes Tail Swipe! Imagine a big squirrel wacky something with their bushy tail. I'm also making the difficult choice of cutting Umezawa's Jitte in favor of Ram Through. Toski has Trample more often than not (or some other squirrel does), so I don't think this will be a big issue. While some may decry the fact that Jitte is being cut, I find it tends to make me a larger target than I wish to be, as well as feeling more like a \"goodstuff\" card vs something I want to thematically be part of this deck.\n\nEDIT_v4: Cut a Forest for Hidden Nursery. Late game, getting to Explore can help pull me out of a funk. I've always been impressed with these new cards, so adding it here in a mono-colored deck is a no-brainer.\n\nEDIT_v5: Cut Adventerous Impulse for Animal Friend. The Impulse is good early game, but in reality, I have so few creatures (at this point in time) that I'm really only grabbing a land. Animal Friend helps my squirrel army grow, so it's a natural shoe-in.\n"}]}
