{"ops":[{"insert":"NCIL: Not currently in list.\n\nThis deck is foil because this deck is foil in paper, but also uses no money card printings to represent proxies I'm running, for a more accurate money count.\n\nTempo/Aggro kind of build, positive interaction for Usurper, punch a guy to death or play specific assistance with partner players, ideally until I can punch a guy to death. The longest turns are the ones where I have to be certain that I'm not swinging - you have to read the table deeply if you're going to enter a gun fight with a Boros knife like this.\n\nAs a Guard in Usurper, I've put my King on the damage clock advantage with a singular Mortal's Ardor (NCIL) on one of his creatures, as I died in the same combat, and won from the grave due to it. Always look for the singular interaction that can turn a game, even if you're not at maximum output for your role.\n\nSpecific things to be aware of: \n\nFoglocks:\nIntimidation Bolt: Doesn't work the instant your opponent turns their creatures sideways, and doesn't stop noncombat damage. Hve to ask them: \"Are you going towards combat?\"\n\nMartyrdom: Works with indestructible/regenerate/shield counters (for the sake of Boon of Safety (NCIL)) - Activate the ability to set and forget that the next 1 damage to redirect to her infinite times. All damage occurs simultaneously. Creature (Feather) sees one instance of X damage, and one shield counter/regen saves her. If double strike or specifically separate instances of damage are occurring, another shield counter or true indestructible is necessary. Protection from the proper color also works to keep Feather alive, but sometimes the combat may dictate she dies anyways to save you/an ally.\nMartyrdom is an awful card. No one should run this. This deck runs this card because it needs to be able to foglock on someone else's behalf, specifically when playing Guard in Usurper, and just Intimidation Bolt alone isn't enough. Martyrdom can fog direct damage.\n\nA turn 4 kill is available if you're willing and able to go shields down. It requires telegraphing, by playing Assault Strobe pre-combat, then casting another power buff spell and Unleash Fury. If you're unable to, simply wait the 1 turn, and you may be able to do it shields up.\n\nWhen running assistance, be aware that some cards are sorceries/specific only being able to target things YOU control.\n\nIf another +2 or more power buff is on Feather and no -/- counters are a factor, it's mathematically worth it to unattach Sunforger to get the other kind of buff spell to reach for damage output.
