{"ops":[{"insert":"Made with the obvious intention of villainous behavior, but I tried to keep it at bracket 2 level, rather than push for 3 where I would really up the evil factor. \n\nIf you would like the deck to be stronger for cheap, replace some of the somewhat silly 6 mana counterspells that steal the spell, tetzimoc, god-pharaoh's statue, in exchange add kefka and some other discard, as well as sol ring of course, but that is banned in my group. Clone effects are very devious if you draw kefka, and so are blink effects, especially since he will be target numero uno once he hits the board. (lowkey he would probably be a better commander but Bolas is cooler and flipwalkers are sick.)\n\nThat aside, the idea is simple, you are out to make people hate you a decent amount, but not in the more typical, do something super broken which makes people really feel like they need to target you. Instead I was going for a classical villain vibe, with such tricks as:\n\n1) Stealing spells from hands and on cast with the countertheft cards and extract brain. And stealing spells from decks with things like mind's dilation and dream harvest.\n\n2) Stealing creatures with bribery effects, control magic effects, and potentially with reanimation effects, which I mostly have sideboarded atm, but bolas himself can reanimate things if you flip him. Also a few goad effects which is almost like stealing creatures.\n\n3) Making evil clones of your opponent's creatures. This used to be more of a focus but I exchanged most of the clone effects for creature theft effects as I felt it was more villainous feeling. I did of course leave evil twin and mocking doppelganger since they fit perfectly.\n\n4) Making people discard a smallish amount, but again not so much as to make everyone REALLY hate you.\n\n5) Activating Bolas time with the 3 best bolas cards, and of course torment of hailfire as a finisher. (Also god-pharaoh's statue even tho it's pretty meh.)\n\n\n"}]}
