Description

{"ops":[{"insert":"Changelog:\n\n12/18/21 - Add Seize the Day, remove Ral Zarek.\n\nRal's just too slow and vulnerable.\n\n1/27/21 - MAJOR CHANGE ALERT!\n\tI wanted to fit in some more fun theft, stealing, and topdeck manipulation, and increase the overall power of the deck. Therefore, I decided to cut some of the bad cards I kept obstinately running (like Precognition.). The following indented changes have no explanation or date because they are part of this.\n\n\tAdd Share the Spoils, remove Lantern of Insight\n\tAdd Curse of Hospitality, remove Precognition\n\tAdd Uvilda, Dean of Perfection // Nassari, Dean of Perfection\n\tAdd Wild-Magic Sorcerer, remove Chaos Wand\n\tAdd Knowledge Pool, remove Soothsaying\n\n5/29/22 - Add Wand of Wonder, remove The Ozolith. Need the Ozolith for another deck (Perrie) and it's never seemed to do enough. I could just protect Pako in the first place. Wand is a really cool way to steal cards from my opponents' decks.\n\n5/30/22 - Add Irenicus's Vile Duplication, remove Diluvian Primordial. Primordial is a little inefficient (and a creature) and Vile Duplication is kinda insane, making a flying (natively hasty) Pako.\n\n11/23/22 - Add Sensei's Divining Top, remove Knowledge Pool. Knowledge Pool is just not a fun card to play against. Super excited to have just gotten a top for this deck.\n\n12/9/22 - Add Passionate Archeologist, remove Share the Spoils. Share the Spoils is just pretty underwhelming. Archaeologist can kill people, especially with two commanders.\n\n12/9/22 - Add Nalfeshnee, remove Curse of Hospitality. Curse isn't super good for me because I'm not going wide. Nalfeshnee will benefit me a lot in the later game.\n\n12/9/22 - Add Lithoform Engine, remove Wild-Magic Sorcerer. Hooray for reprints! Lithoform is very good for my deck and I've found that cascade isn't an effect that this counterspell-heavy deck really wants.\n\n1/2/23 - Add Stolen Strategy, remove Hinder. Hinder is a weak and mana-intensive counterspell. I'd rather just steal more cards!\n\n1/15/23 - Add Mizzix, Replica Rider, remove Alpha Authority. I'm more interested in havng more generic value cards rather than going all in on Pako. Plus, I have counterspells if necessary.\n\n5/26/23 - Add Temporal Mastery, remove Set Adrift. Set Adrift is usually hard to make cheap, and Mastery is a great extra turn spell that I just traded for. This deck is well set up to abuse its miracle, as well!\n\n8/12/23 - Add Time Stretch, remove Dazzling Sphinx. I'm trying to move away from creatures in this deck, and Time Stretch is a huge bomb that I'm happy to have.\n\n8/12/23 - Add Plargg and Nassari, remove Wildfire Devils. I think I want a little more in this creature slot, and P&N fit the job perfectly.\n\n8/19/23 - Add Alrund's Epiphany, remove Part the Waterveil. Alrund's Epiphany has a little bit more synergy with the deck, especially the cast from exile part.\n\n12/16/23 - Add Guided Passage, remove Mizzix, Replica Rider. BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY (also not huge on mizzix costing 2 mana per spell)\n\n1/20/24 - Add Quantum Misalignment, remove Alrund's Epiphany. I'm more interested in effects that clone pako than your basic 6-7 mana \"vanilla\" extra turns (also more fun)\n\n1/20/24 - Add Spark Double, remove Karn's Temporal Sundering. See above.\n\n1/20/24 - Add Hinder, remove Negate. I don't think the 1-mana difference in cost is huge for this deck, and the potential to prepare a card for fetching is cool.\n\n1/27/24 - Add Last Night Together, remove Talent of the Telepath. Talent is a little inconsistent and I wanted more extra combat spells. Last night is a great one.\n\n4/5/24 - Add Nature's Lore, remove Beacon of Tomorrows. Beacon is too expensive and I want to lower this deck's curve.\n\n6/5/24 - Add Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius and Savvy Trader, remove You Find Some Prisoners and Spelltwine. Spelltwine is a bit overcosted (and using it to loop extra turns is a little cringe). You Find Some Prisoners isn't flexible enough for my purposes.\n\n8/3/24 - Add Mountain, remove Evolving Wilds. Kinda just done with these lands in 3c decks (hopefully more manabase upgrades coming soon)\n\n8/3/24 - Add Bountiful Landscape, remove Terramorphic Expanse. See above.\n\n8/25/24 - Add Dreamroot Cascade, Sulfur Falls, and Hinterland Harbor, remove 2 Islands and Surtland Frostpyre. This deck is long overdo for some more fixing.\n\n9/21/24 - Add Rootbound Crag, Rockfall Vale, and Stormcarved coast, remove Mountain, Island, Forest.\n\n11/1/24 - Add Stubborn Denial, remove Hinder. Not super sure about this swap but this will definitely improve the protection of the deck. might reverse it to add the synergy back though.\n\n11/1/24 - Add Farseek, Planar Genesis, and Growth Spiral, remove all 3 signets. I don't think I need fixing this badly now that there's some in the manabase, and I wanted more resilient ramp with higher upside.\n\n11/1/24 - Add Explore, remove Stolen Strategy. Strategy is too slow and expensive and I also wanted to add ramp density to this deck.\n\n11/1/24 - Add Temporal Manipulation, remove Agent of Treachery. Agent has a medium impact when it hits the battlefield, and it's way too hard to set up n(plus it's a bit winmore.\n\n1/11/24 - Add Fortune Teller's Talent, remove Sage of the Beyond. Obviously Talent does way more for the same cost, is payed in installments, and isn't a creature.\n\n11/11/24 - Add Swiftfoot Boots, remove Nassari, Dean of Expression. Nassari has the same problems as Stolen Strategy, and I wanted a bit more protection.\n\n11/18/24 - Add Rejuvenating Springs, remove Bountiful Landscape. Didn't really want to go down on nonbasics, and Rejuvenating Springs is pretty much a consistently untapped dual land.\n\n12/1/24 - Add Consuming Tide, remove Reckless Endeavor. It's nice to be able to interact with noncreatures on one of my boardwipes. Plus, although Consuming Tide doesn't have quite the same upside as Endeavor, it's more consistent and cheaper up front.\n\n12/21/24 - Add Island, remove Castle Vantress. My basic count is getting suspiciously low and I wanted more reliablity. I've also only rarely activated castle.\n\n12/21/14 - Add Spire Garden, remove Mountain. Added mana fixing is super nice.\n"}]}
