The main strategy is to just vomit things onto the board until you can overrun your opponents while you pray to the high heavens that your large amount of interaction and partial recursion allows you to get there. Ramos effect is secondary, it mainly serves as a WUBRG enable and can be replaced by any other WUBRG commander that is generically useful, such as Kenrith.
