{"ops":[{"insert":"This README summarizes current state of and future plans for my LOTR decks. Many of these plans are on pause until a planned LOTR draft happens in case we open specific main set cards. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"underline":true,"bold":true},"insert":"Current state"},{"insert":"\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Galadriel "},{"insert":"\n\nBant Elfball/ETB value. May have a little room for tweaking eg removing Realm Seekers, but is generally in a very good place. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Sauron "},{"insert":"\n\nGrixis control with an interesting go-tall/discard/Ring Tempts twist. Needs some main set cards which are loaned out to Frodo, some main set cards, which I've never opened, and eight Nazgul and one Fling I should proxy. Despite that, Sauron is also in a very good place. May be the best LOTR deck. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Aragorn/Eowyn"},{"insert":"\n\nAragorn/Eowyn have a very cool modular decklist thing going on which needs just a couple cards to be filled out. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Frodo "},{"insert":"\n\nFrodo has legs! It's nerve-wracking to put all your eggs in his basket and feels pretty bad to lose to, but I don't think any of the hobbit decks really hit the mark, so I'll take what I can get. May be the hobbit deck to keep. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Smeagol, Helpful Guide "},{"insert":"\n\nSmeagol has one infinite combo and a number of Golgari cards we'd otherwise never see. I think we should build him and proxy in a bunch of Nazgul. Overall we're probably proxying almost 30 nazgul between him, frodo, sauron, and maybe a Witch King deck or two. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Aragorn, the Uniter "},{"insert":"\n\nAragon, the Uniter is likely to be the first deck I break out of universe to build. Leaning in to the multicolor theme in addition to showcasing legends of middle-earth seems like it will play much better than restricting it to in-universe cards. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Gimli of the Glittering Caves "},{"insert":"\n\nAlthough Gimli will require many out-of-universe cards, he seems like he might have legs and could be very fun to play. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Treebeard "},{"insert":"\n\nTreebeard is one of the decks the base set is least capable of building, and it's unclear if he will really be very good. However, having pulled him, it seems crazy not to play him at least a couple times. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Aragorn, Hornburg Hero "},{"insert":"\n\nThis is the other deck the base set is least capable of building. Generic +1/+1 counters without real payoffs for growing seems like it'll be a bad time. \n\n\n"}]}
